Focus gain after "completing" a School?

After I don't even know how long now, I'm finally "done" with the Unairu Focus School. I have Focus Abilities at max rank and have unbound the waybound abilities. I have enough "capacity" to run all of the abilities at the same time. Right now I'm looking at the prospect of refitting my gear with new lenses to start on a new Focus School, but I noticed that I'm still gaining Unairu Focus Points. Is there any point to gaining more Focus for Unairu at this point (as in, can I ever at any point unlock anything else), or should I just swap my lenses out for new ones? It's fairly expensive to do, so I'd rather not make a hasty decision.

unless they add or change things again, you can use those points to buy even more capacity for your other schools. otherwise as far as i know no there is no point in gaining any further points in that school if it is totally unlocked and maxed

Possibly as insurance. New War is coming... sometime after Tennocon, and who knows? There may be more Operator powers then, which may require Focus to access.

• if you haven't unlocked all the Waybounds, you could use your overfill from Unairu to purchase more Capacity to run those as well. (for all Schools, since Capacity is global)
• extra Focus Points helps you be prepared for the future, if Focus expands in features.

you can always just put Lenses on different Equipment anyways.

So... Barring major changes to the Focus Schools, the only real use I have for more Unairu Focus would be more Capcity for additional Waybound abilities? I hadn't actually considered this. I figured I'd already earned enough Capacity since I could run everything in Unairu, but I hadn't considered that additional Waybound abilities would cost their own Capacity. Oops!

And yeah, I don't think I'll be swapping over ALL of my gear. I went a little overboard with Lenses when I was first starting out, slapping them on weapons I genuinely don't use any more. Consequently, I have a lot of Unairu gear gathering dust. I might drop new lenses on SOME of my more common gear - Inaros for sure. To be perfectly honest... I kind of don't care to actually USE any of the other Focus trees beyond grabbing their Waybounds, so I might throw lenses for a bunch of different Schools on different gear items. I mean, I managed to get my two waybounds unbound just through Inaros' passive gain, and that's without actually going for it...

As to major changes to Focus Schools... Eh. At the risk of derailing, I feel the entire system can use a progression redesign to cut down on the massive grind. Given DE's approach to the Cetus economy changes, I suspect they agree. Whatever comes with the New War will likely come with changes to the Lens system to make them less of a massive gate, is my suspicion. Long story short, I probably won't spend much time stockpiling Focus unless I find myself having unlocked literally everything... And I don't think I ever will.
