Nekros arbitration build?

Question

Did a 1 hour infested survival arbitration with this build and actually managed to die a few times (shadows were dying?) towards the end so I'm looking for some suggestions to tweak it and take it as far as it can go. This build was and will be used with the arbitration 300% strength buff.

Would this go further? No efficiency for the health being taken, just rolling magus elevate to compensate for that and so I took out the primed continuity with the thought of timing my zenurik energy dash properly and just resetting the army when they're down really low on hp.

Well there's your problem.... Remove Redirection and replace it with Adaptation....

Also stacking that much Armor is pointless.... remove one arcane guardian and replace it with Arcane Grace....

Then Drop Energy Pads for recasting your Shadows.

I main Arbitration’s with Nekros. Unfortunately I can’t logon to show you my build at the moment.

The key is damage reduction. Your strength should not be negative. You really don’t need range either for a tank build. What you are doing is trying to take a farming setup into a survival.

Remove redirection / steel fibre and replace with Adaptation as above. You can have negative efficiency- looking at your 4 costing around 150 energy. Increase strength to around 200 (I believe 214 is the max you need) and put the rest into duration with some range.

As you’ve formaed many D slots a true survival build may be difficult. But, in my opinion, you’ll want Equilibrium to balance out the efficiency. Run Zenurik to help balance the energy.

The general cycle to survive goes; activate desecrate - kill enough to build up shadows, activate 4, as soon as you max out energy or your shields are low (when it’s going crazy it’s easier to just focus on your energy) hit 4 again. This will keep your damage reduction up. When you have all shadows alive, the casting animation is quick. Adaptation builds up in the background and the desecration keeps up health orbs, as well as the passive.

As you are losing health through despoil, any health orbs you collect will heal you AND provide you with the energy you need (through Equilibrium) to allow you to refresh your 4 before any die.

I love Nekros for the synergies and a despoil shadows build fits really well. You just have to have the build set up to survive. Without Equilibrium, you’ll need to rely on Zenurik, drops or pads which isn’t ideal as the enemies get stronger.

Lastly I am going to Aura forma Nekros - that way you can mix and match with Steel Charge which is far better for infested survival.

Remove Redirection and Overextended. Add Transient Fortitude, Primed Flow and Quick Thinking. Use Zenurik to supplement your energy if you don't own Arcane Energize set.
Ignore the incoming twit who's gonna tell you Quick Thinking is useless.

The build from TheMooN85 is also nice.

These builds of mine were strictly only to be run with the 300% power strength bonus for abitrations whenever it appears, so I didn't build for strength at all, just clarifying, I knew about the 90% shield of shadows damage reduction buff. I've learnt that steel fiber is bad for nekros though atleast, and I thought the range along with despoil would help keep the team afloat on things like survival more easily but that wouldn't be a pure tank build now would it. Again too, no efficiency because I'm running 2 magus elevate for the loss in HP and plan on timing zenurik for healing the hoard.

From my understanding so far it seems worth replacing steel fiber for redirection in my second build and changing stretch for something like equilibrium or primed flow. I can't really see quick thinking going a long way since I'll be tight on energy from healing the hoard with no efficiency.

were it me for arbitrations, i'd replace overextended with adaptation

I would replace one arcane with grace and maybe even the other with pulse

and i'd ditch redirection for p.vigor, or maybe gladiator resolve. (hildy might be the only frame I use redirection on - but if you like it...)

without p.flow quick thinking won't do anything for you.

useless as hek.

It actually is useless.... I took it into an Eidolon Hunt last night.... even after Harrow gave me guaranteed Orange Crits I only shaved off 2 Pixels of its health Bar...

Need to Grind more MR  for the Lanka....

Yeah...

Relying on shadows is the problem that I personally see here.

I bet if you make a build that just focuses more on dropping health orbs you'd be fine for one hour or more in Arbitrations. And not only infested, mind you.

To focus is down more, I'd go Umbral Vitality, Umbral Intensify, Health Conversion, Equilibrium, Adaptation as the base of the build. Maybe look into Gladiator Resolve, as well. It's good. I would so like to play with channel melee and life strike weapon because with Nekros you sustain it. Would look into Naramon school, as well. The nearly 1500 armour from Health Conversion will be keeping you alive, and because you would mostly go into melee range, you're not that worried about range, although some would help. Can also go with two melee arcanes, one for damage, one for attack speed. I think a Zaw with the arcane that increases channeling damage on critical strike is really nice. You could also look into some range weapon to take down drones or burn shield, but swapping those around and then having to trigger Channeling again may make it a bit annoying.
