fr4gb4ll
not that i need them (got thousands of them and hundreds sculptures too - not to mention the amount of spare endo) or that i'm too lazy to pick them up, but because of two mildly annoying bugs and one logical reason. the two 'bugs' are A: the lag-time between smashing a crate and/or opening a locker and the appearing of the gui-symbol on the screen and B: the fairly often crates spawned into walls and the ground which then on occasion drop those stars (which ofc, are unreachable for pickup). the QoL logical reason is that a fast paced game like warframe is slowed down because of the pick-up process (and more so, if one consider the lag-time in above mentioned appearing of the symbol). and let face it, even those of us who don't need them anymore will more often than not go out of their way (or back) to pick them up - even if only to remove the onscreen symbol of them. let the sculptures be as they are, to be picked up manually but the stars not - at least there is only one (if any) sculpture in a mission but multiple chances for stars (i think i record is between 12-16 stars on a map with many lockers and crates and the use of every trick to get them).

Same for syndicate medallions and caches. before or after they are discovered? because if they are not marked with the default 'resourse/crate' icon, it would be a bit too easy to find them - at least imo, but i know every location medalions (and therefore sculptures and rare crates too) are hidden on all titlesets anyway and only miss one if being lazy or imprecise in my search for them. ok, maybe give them a different color? that would at least demand a closer look to the map... not that it makes much different for those who used the ignis on every vague direction of a square ^^)

Looking for a needle in a haystack is just not fun gameplay. In the olden days of point-and-click adventure games, there was even a term for it, pixel hunt, and it was universally despised. I never imagined that thirty years later it would still exist in games that are otherwise lightyears ahead.
