Going from 30 and 40 FPS to solid 60 FPS is just insane! 
I dont know how it worked out for others, but for me its a gamechanger. 
There should be an official post explaining this to people (if there isnt one allready).

I have to agree that this is addition is on the level of the introduction of parkour for Warframe in terms of amazing.

Yup a noticeable FPS increase.

I haven't checked what my FPS is in different situations, but I haven't had any slow downs since the option became available.  I'm also running on integrated graphics via my i7-2600 processor.  Of course, I also set my BIOS to allocate about 400MB total memory to graphics processing before OS even starts.
