Can we PLEASE get rid of Toroids and find a new method of raising Vox Solaris rep?

The drop rate on toroids is far too low and far too many of them are required to rank up.

I really don't understand why DE wants to make VS rep such a hassle to obtain, but it's really getting on my nerves.

I had one of those. I needed 10 Vega Toroids. I got 9.

Don't farm regular toroids for rep. Run Exploiter for her orb, with a booster you get 2, which is 24k rep per run.

I don't see the problem, it work a bit like The Quills and the sentient cores.
The "good ones" are meant to drop on the boss but can still be farmed on weaker enemies for less reputation, in this case 1% drop chance on specific area.
Also, Vega, Calda and Sola Toroid drop with 20% chance on Raknoid of their color.

fight the orbs with a booster way batter way of getting rep the exploiter i think drops 2 of those 12k rep balls meeting the rank up cost well tough luck either go cave diving for the rare chance of one spawning or farm them it only takes like 1-2 people at most to get it going decent last time i did it i just hid in a hallway with a zenistar as nekros and it worked pretty well

I dont see the problem. Solo or in a farming group, i dont think they are hard to get.

The fact that you can go to a specific area and farm ONLY that Toroid makes this a non issue for me.

And then when you start farming Exploiter, you can literally spend 15 min and cap out your standing for the day lol.

and with kavat. and also when its double resouces boost in fortune while fissures event is ON. 

its very easy to farm little duck rep. VERY easy.

And yes, i farmed toroids too. 50-60 each type. And its not that hard with boosters,cat,Nekro and maybe even slash weapons (and full squad =- just for more mobs). 

So,its not games problem,u know.

My issue with Toroids isn't really Vox Solaris standing. Profit-Taker and Exploiter Toroids are far better for that than the initial three. My problem is with items which ask for a specific Toroid, usually in x10 increments. I'm currently stuck unable to progress in rank with Vox Solaris because I don't have enough of the correct shade of S#&$ Toroid. I have the big ones worth a lot more Standing, but it doesn't matter. The level-up requirement asks for those specifically, and farming for those is one of the worst most boring grinds in this game. I used to think that Fortuna had avoided the Cetus Wisp nonsense. Turns out I was wrong. At least Cetus Wisps you can buy for Quills Standing if you need them for anything specific and there's only a single type of them. There are three types of Toroids which can't be bought from anywhere and are still required in semi-large numbers despite being of fairly little practical use the majority of the time.

I'll take Hexenon over Toroids any day.

Got to be honest, I've just tried farming some toroids with a clan mate and the drop rate was abysmal... I don't know what happened in the last few months but I used to be able farm a LOT more than what we managed to farm in the same period.  Now yes some of the reduction is due to a nerf in farming squads but to be fair I could do better solo than what I did a few mins ago.

I think there needs to be a full and thorough review of the drop rates and locations of all 'low quantity' resources because as it stands now it's faster to get the 6k toroids from the orb mother than farming the smaller ones which you need to rank up the syndicate.

Do the Second Profit Taker mission, the one that requires you to infiltrate the base and steal the Manager codes to grab a datamass at the end. Instead of completing the mission, stay around there for a wile, let the notoriety max out and start killing everything you see.

That mission has dropships constantly coming and dropping mobs to defend and their rates arent affected by the notoriety level which makes for a great farming place.

If i recall well the number of DropShips is affected by the number of players in the team so if you can do it with friends you will have greater drop chances and have at least one Nekros in the group.
