Exploiter Orb fight

I woke up, had my morning coffee and was feeling great.
I loged in to Warframe, opened up friends list and saw there was public session with one spot open.
It said Orb Vallis free roam, so, why not. I joined the session.

That's when things got interesting...
I landed in some cave and aparently we were doing Exploiter Orb.. fight that I don't even have access to because FUN DETECTED.

So there I was.. game telling me that 3/4 people are at objective.
Aparently the friend whos session I joined had trouble getting to objective because there was no waypoint.
Things were going bad. But wait.. things get even worse.
Finally we all get to objective and Exploiter Orb fight begins.
Game, being useful like always, tells me I have to make Diluted Thermia. I have no idea how to make it.
After watching the fight for about 5 minutes and not understanding a thing I just stand back and let 2 squad members do the work.
Eventually this phase ends, we go to another objective and another fight begins.. oh joy.

Again, game just tells me to make Diluted Thermia. Few minutes into the fight I finally figure out how to make it.
Now game tells me to throw it and shoot it. Ok.. where do I throw it.. at my screen? At Fortuna elevator? At Exploiter Orbs 3rd left toe?
I have no idea so I ask in squad chat.
Silence..
I try throwing it at various places with no positive results. Occasionally I see one squad member jumping on Exploiter Orb and damaging it, but I have no idea how they do it.
So, again, I just sit back and let them do the work.

After a while fight is over, I pick up the loot and I still have no idea what the heck was going on.

Great experience. Would sit down and do nothing useful again.

aren't you same guy from the ropa fight thread? holly hell you are! and with the same format too! 

I'm actually with you on this one though, since there's no hints on where the 'switch' is for the first phase. the game does tell you where to throw the canisters though which is at the vents, you hear that through the dialogue

for the 2nd phase, iirc the dialogue tells you where/how you make the thermia, but more info is certainly better

DE has a rather annoying trend of 'figure it out yourself' when it comes to boss fights which is good and bad at the same time, but it quickly fades when you know what you're doing

Ok

First, one requirement is to have thermia from sealing termia fractures in the recurring event. That's where you learn the use of coolant. But you skipped that obvious so nots game fault.

Then there is no waypoint, unless YOU do one (that simple), because its you who initiate it in the open world free roam and thus all your squad should have a consensus about it. Game can know what you want and cant see in the future about your intentions and noone wants permanent marker for this whenever or not they want to do it.

In the first stage you could have looked around to see that there are machines who disperse thermia container periodical. Just look and you will find instead of just "watching the fight for about 5 minutes". Then you could have experienced that you throw the stuff at the orb (here the frozen ports) and shoot them so they explode near em.
With this information you would do the same outdoors to overheat the damn thing. And there is multiply stuff pointing at it to do: the heat meter, the never ending coolant supply you are told to shut off, told to throw the thermia at her etc.

And one only jumps on it if its staggered after overheat to expose the weak point. Thus its only done 3 times and itself does no dmg, no need for everyone to do.

Its pretty forward, its just that you skipped the initiation and then tumbled further. And that you teammates don't talk to you isn't the fights fault.
Do you really want to be handholded during the whole fight ? Just test stuff, do solo test runs. and don't skip content and then complain.

I have 3 posts on this forum and none of them are related to ropa fight. Thanks for reply and tips anyway! 🙂

1: Please do kindly point me to that event.. because I don't see it. I think it's somewhere near the Nightwave event right now.

2: If you read my post then you see I didn't even intend to join the fight. I joined "Orb Vallis free roam" squad. I didn't leave as soon as I arrived and realised the mistake because I tried to be useful. Obviously I failed.

Thanks for helpful tips.. no need to be **** about it though.

Yeah, exploiter maybe shouldn’t be available in free roam.
