-Bigchungus- Posted June 5, 2019 Share Posted June 5, 2019 Endgame in a nutshell - First two hours full of jokes non stop (most not even funny) - The final batte lasted 10 minutes....10 MINUTES IN A 3 HOUR MOVIE, even the Sokovia battle in AOU was longer - Hulk got 0 figth scenes, this is even worse when you remember that he only got 40 seconds of screentime in Infinity war, it was interesting and fun to see Prof Hulk, but no figth scenes in 2 movies is an insult - Iron man got no use of his tech, ok so he was knocked out 1 minute and half by Mjornir, but was able to sustain a Moon crash in Infinity war, it frustrates me because in infinity war he used all of his tech like crazy, yet he was very Nerfed on Endgame. (PSN)LeBlingKing Posted June 5, 2019 Share Posted June 5, 2019 There were only a few things I didn't like about Endgame, despite it being a pretty great movie: - Captain America out-Thorring Thor - 2012 Hulk out-Hulking current Hulk - The way they hyped up Captain Marvel only to have her suck throughout the movie (her full Endgame timeline: shows up to save Tony - leaves - shows up with a new haircut - leaves - shows up to destroy Thanos' ship - gets beaten up by the Power Stone ALONE - leaves until the funeral) - That stupid dumbass dumb idiotic stupid forced feminist scene. You know which one I'm talking about Those are some strong emotions 😐 Endgame was pretty anticlimactic for me. It was hyped all the way to the moon, so I expected a lot and was disappointed. It's still good, but the pacing is way too slow and the premise isn't as grand as I would have liked. The only thing that really felt major to me was the ending fight. Also what they did to Black Widow. WTF? Why even? That was such a stupid decision. It didn't even add anything to the movie. Even if she had to meet the same fate they should have done it some other way. She got a very unfair treatment. Also fat Thor. Funny at first but they really milked it IMO. Out of all the stones we've seen the Marvel characters use, the Soul Stone is literally the best useless rock in the entire series. It only exists to kill off a beloved character. The Power stone, you can do energy blasts with. The Reality stone, you can turn your enemies into cute little butterflies, or bullets into bubbles. I suppose I can see why you might prefer one over the other with that mind. There were jokes in that part, but a lot of them were intentionally bittersweet. They were laced with character interactions - mostly sad ones. And 'non-stop' is... overestimating it. If memory serves a good chunk of the scenes prior to them getting the first sight of hope were pretty hopeless, with most of the aforementioned bittersweet jokes. After that tone shift, the jokes make sense - they're happier, more comfortable and more jokey. Then it leads into the third act itself, and it's all go from there.
