Should I use my Advanced Nostram Cutter or just use the Sunpoint Plasma Drill?

I just picked up the Advanced Nostram Cutter.  Is there any point in using it? 

According to the wiki, the Sunpoint Plasma drill has a chance to get very rare gems while the advanced nostram only has a chance for rare.

there's no longer any purpose to any of the Ostron Cutters

the Fortuna one (Plasma drill) covers them all.

Sunpoint Plasma. It's basically Advanced Nostram with some improvements over it and low requirements compared to it to obtain.

I mean if thatz accurate then theres obviously a good reason to keep it... for not wasting time mining junk Rocks.

If you can purchase the sun point there is no reason for the cetus mining tools.

Well actually you need to keep the lower level Cetus cutters. I’ve found the sunpoint to be overpowered and, when I need common gems, I find getting those more difficult! Best to keep a range of drills and, when you’re farming specific materials, check their rarity and choose the appropriate drill.

Or just Kill a Thumper/Exploiter...

Im only using the mining tools because because I can't kill the exploiter or The larger thumpers.

Yup. All it did was piss the people who got it off and discourage anyone new player from wanting it.

I'll keep that in mind.  Glad to know it wasan't a total waste of standing.  Not that it was very expensive.
