Has DE mentioned ever selling umbra forma?

Probably with New War. And probably not "sold", more like "obtained".

What I would prefer is that they change the Umbral Forma to an Umbral Reactor. Which would "enhance" your Warframe, to give the normal Formas the possibility to add/change an Umbral Polarity (because this one-time use sucks), and that'd give the Warframe the same sentience as Excal Umbra. That would give interesting combinations.

That way (even greater) OP-ness lies.

Not good, considering the state of the game and likely won't happen unless/until DE figure out a way to provide more challenging content.

Also, as I understand it Umbra is meant to be unique - a one-off, so I don't see why they would allow all frames to have the ability to fight alongside our Operators. The devs haven't mentioned creating more Umbra frames, that I'm aware of.

That's more for balance though. If Sentient content arrives with New War, which probably will, Umbra will be miles ahead of any other Warframe except maybe a few exceptions (like Valkyr). He can reset Sentient's damage adaptation and he's a melee Warframe (hint: Skiajati and Paracesis). And in case of Sentient content, having AI Umbra + Operator will be the best cheese ever. Any other combination will probably fall short.

If that brings some OP-ness in Hydron or ESO, I frankly don't care and I don't think DE should care either. Especially if we're limited to one Umbral Reactor per 4 months. In the current state of the game, if New War arrives soon, 95% of Warframes' used in said content will be Umbra + Paracesis. Just as 95% of Disruption event was Inaros-based.

Edit: anyway that's just my point of view, and we all know they won't change that now. I'd just hate being a Mag/Nyx-main when we'll have to fight armies of Conculysts.

For the love of all things unholy, no no no just no.

It is already a pain in the ass when playing Umbral Excal and having to pull out EB every single freakin' time you exit and re-enter your frame. If they ever get around to fixing that for a smooth transition then yeah, but aslong as that piece of crap interaction still exsists then no.

It would just be yet another thing that could possibly break (in the bad sense) a frame like melee 2.9 did with Valkyr.

Please dont give DE more half-assed ideas to implement.
