The Thalassalyst, Sentient Terror of The Deep [Enemy Concept]

My latest commission is finally finished. Inspired by the Tarakava from Bionicle.

Enjoy!

Yes the battle will be in sharkwing mode. In order for shields to be removed, void destructible objects, maybe void fissures, will be placed within its arena. Lure the beast close and destroy them/ activate them to release an energy pulse. Lure him into a nearby cave and trick him into breaking down the supporting pillars. This will cause a cave in and allow you to trigger a cinematic that results in the synovas on his arms and then his neck. After completing all three, he can then be lured into one final fourth cave where there are 4 pillars instead of 2, the last of which is very thick and requires the depletion of his health that then allows you to climb on his head, similar to another Sentient fight, and drive him into the pillar.

Story:

"The Vessel traveled quickly through the water.

It felt like the trip had lasted a millennium. Tyl Regor stood alert at the helm, trying to spot their destination through the dark, murky waters of Uranus' great ocean.

He and his elite troops were on route to a newly constructed lab facility, a routine inspection before they move permanently to this new location. Recent encounters with the Tenno had rendered the old facility unfit for further use.

A small flash of movement caught the scientists eye but when he looked whatever it was had vanished.

Probably a Lanx shark, he thought to himself. That species was commonly found throughout this sector.

With a large thud, something struck the rear engine of the vessel, damaging it and stranding them.

As emergency crews were about to be contacted, a colossal sentient emerged from the dark. This beast was bulky yet agile, built for blunt force attacks.

Regor's mind was racing to come up with a solution when the intercom light on the vessels control board started flashing. He connected to the signal with caution.

A familiar voice filled his audio receptors.

The Lotus.

'Regor, I have a proposal...'"

After seeing a picture and reading the concept, I have fallen in love with this idea and everything it encompasses. It would be great to expand on boss battles around the underwater lab. Having a variety of eidolons (air, land, sea) makes the sentient faction theme so much bigger and diverse. Even if it could just be part of the lore i would be satisfied.

I’m very glad you like it!!!

If this one is based off of the tarakava, might we have one based off of the Manas? Or a team inspired by Muaka and Kane-ra?

The manas might be difficult as they are pretty much just crabs and the other two might be interesting. The issue is with them is that they’re entirely designed around the functionality of their lunging necks, which may not translate into a Sentient very easily

Since I started fishing I always wondered what type of "Terrors of the Deep" Fisher Hai-Luk mentions from time to time. Maybe she refers to the original beast version of the Kraken Hydroid Prime summons when he cast Tentacle Swarm? 😮

This Thalassalyst, Sentient Terror of The Deep is a great Idea, but I also like to have an Assassin Type of Wild animal enemy that as you fish would unexpectedly try to grab you or swallow you into the Deep of the Lake or Waters and you have to battle him to escape or just swim like crazy until you get out. Or it could just be a giant bird Monster, just some Land Worm or Orokin Horror Stealth Predator that hunts the Open World.

This would make the Open World more existing (IMO)... thought I will admit I probably be startle out of my pants if as I am just minding my own business and something jump me out of the blue!  Specially if I'm fishing in Deep Lakes or the Ocean, as for some reason I just dread to think something would come out and try to eat me...even as powerful as a Warframe is. lol 😅

That would definitely be interesting! I’m not sure any of the lakes or shorelines are deep enough some a brute of this magnitude. My thought was that he would be in the Uranus Tileset, in an underwater area with lots of surrounding caves. But I think it would be interesting to have a fishing type assassin. Everything that currently exists is docile and provides no threat. But maybe if they had an octopus type creature that grabbed you?

In that case maybe this boss could attract some mini manas as to something that will fight along side it like the vombalyst during eidolon hunts to add an extra layer of challenge to it? Cause Warframe really lacks any real challenge and i have yet to see a boss that sends out hordes that you actually have to pay attention to while fighting the boss besides the field bosses in the open worlds.
