Nidus Unable To Get Reinfected

I read that Nidus is supposed to be able to get infected/reinfected by sitting in the Helminth room chair, however I do not have that option.  Pretty sure that I sat in it once before with Nidus but I don't know if i was infected by another player or not at the time (zit possibly covered up or too new to see?).  I read some more saying that curing an infection on Nidus that came from another player and not the chair could cause the intended chair function for Nidus to bug.  So, yeah...  Is this fixable without grinding and building Nidus again (and I assume going immediately to the chair before going  on a mission)?

The infection is once per warframe, nidus naturally infects other warframes regardless automatically when walking "through" them in missions/relays/etc. The infection the pink and grey cyst that grows on the warframe's neck on the left side. All warframes with a cyst in any state of growth can infect other warframes during the time in which they have the infection. Once a warframe sits in the chair in the Helminth's room on the orbiter, by hitting "X" on pc by default to sit in the chair, the warframe is permanently cured of the infection. Nidus is the only frame that infects other warframes, the cyst doesn't matter and whether a nidus warframe has had a cyst fully grown and cured or not doesn't hinder this hidden passive either.
