Huh... None of the quests need prep work. Just play the game. If you get stuck then we can help.

That's not entirely true. The Sacrifice has pretty painful parts if you're going unprepared.

I understand he's asking though, as The War Within warns you you won't be able to "normally play the game" until you finish the quest.

As far as I remember there isn't any part requiring anything specific in The War Within. The Archwing part doesn't need an elaborate Archwing, the rest is pretty straightforward. It's a lore quest, not a skill-testing quest. 😛

The only advice we can provide you with is to enjoy it ! 🙂

As long as you're not going in with leveling gear I don't remember any of the quests being painful. Just need to play smart at times. There is a few quests that are not full offensive missions. The guys at the end of Inaros quests can pack a punch if your not carful but so can the stalker and juggernaut. I think this is a perspective experience that differs from each player.

Either way this is not one that falls into the more challenging group. It just diverse and entertaining to me at least.

Both The Sacrifice and The Second Dream require Prep Work... sentients are a pain in the ass.

Well there you go....its smart to be prepared....its smart to ask on the forums if theres anything you should look out for....

As for The War Within.... Theres some Baby Sitting, some armored enemies that could be a problem....

I think the hardest part was near the end when you get Gang Banged by multiple Kuva Guardians....They wield Twin Rogga Shotgun Pistols whenever you Make them vulnerable and as a sonrone who started with Volt this basically one shot one kill for me....

Do you guys have any tips for the quest? I'm gonna start the Quest soon as MR5 please give some tips..

Bring heavy hitting weapons, with a variety of damage types (Blast, Impact, Radiation, Slash, etc.) and your fashionframe.  Lots of cut scenes that are perfect photo-ops.

Beyond that, pay attention to verbal cues.  Turn up the sound if you need to.

It is kind of a long quest, and some part of the quest is different from normal WF play; please make sure you have set aside time for it. Also there are questions you need to answer during the quest. I don't think anyone knows the impact of the final answer, just answer the question truthfully.

This is not the typical Space Ninja's as sonic the hedgehog. Without giving spoilers, and my best advice; It is showing you the ways of the tenno Speed will be your enemy. Patience, moving slow, and observation wins here. Do not get me wrong, you will have to hussle it, but you will know where each part is.

Honestly, the game felt like it was trying to learn from you with those questions, and they are done in away that you cannot help but answer based on how you feel. I might be only four months old, but I honestly do not see what the relevance of the last question was, or what you see on your profile after that.

Worst quest ever. Don´t start it, because you won´t be able to play the game again until you finished this quest.

Ummmm, as Chewarette already stated "The War Within warns you you won't be able to "normally play the game" until you finish the quest" I am extremely obtuse when it comes to things, and even I saw that message and understood what it meant.

This one-liner doesn´t tell that you have to die 100 times without knowing why and how to avoid it. It´s ok to waste some minutes with the option to cancel it and continue later. It´s not ok to steal a whole evening.

I think a lot of people who finished the quest will agree. A lot of those "sub-quest" come with no instructions. You either need to read it up from wiki, or use the "try and die" method. One of the sub-quest took me almost 30 mins to finish. 5 mins to figure out what the game want me to do, 20+ mins of die and retry until I found out it is a know glitch, another 5 mins to finish the sub-quest using the work around solution.

Overall, I still like the quest because it is different from the rest of the game.

Sure, you bite the big one many a times, I will not deny it. However we are talking about a game that has been out since 2013, so a total of (lets say) six years.

Now I am not taking for Granted the founders, or even those veterans who have played this when it first came out, and had no source for a walk through, and I can imagine them tearing out their hair over it.

However this is current year, where there are plenty of walk throughs were you can pause the game (need to be in solo player mode for that), and can now look up walkthroughs on youtube. All one needs to do I search out the name of the quest, find the part they are having trouble with, see how someone got passed it, pause the video and mimic the actions in order to see what lays beyond. (Pro tip: Master Rank 9 is a S.O.B. So be prepared to hit practice a ton of times, or do the method of finding a walk through to pause and progress through it. I will not hide the fact I did this nor will I apologize for it).

Yeah, I get the frustration of the game and it's lack of holding your hand while playing, and sure there are more then one mission/quest that has seen my blood pressure rise as I scream at the scream,(looking at you T4 of the void) but on the same token that is what keeps bringing me back to playing it. The simply fact DE has created a game where it treats you like a adult, where you do not feel like the game has to hold your hand and pamper you, all the while not making apologize for doing so.

Depends on which part you're on, standing on rocks should keep it from getting to you and you will need to use certain new abilities you have to make it through that part

spoilered as i'm not sure what part of the quest you are on

here's the first part with abilities

Spoiler

hitting jump while holding crouch will rapidly move you 12 meters in the direction you are aiming if you aim up you move up if you aim down you move down, so on so forth this ability is kept after this part of the quest and is called Void Dash and will fling enemies in the general direction you traveled and costs you 25 energy out of the 100 energy pool

the second part with abilities

Spoiler

holding crouch should keep it from detecting you this drains about 5 energy a second, you keep this ability after this portion of the quest and it is called void cloak outside of the quest it also grants total invuln against almost everything in the game

the third/final part with abilities

Spoiler

the last bit involving the worms is to hit it with the ability that takes the place of the melee button that you use to blast through the wall earlier and hit the button for transference/transcendence this should let you take control of the worm and will let you move around with it
