Nerfing Loot-frame synergy in a loot oriented game is a terrible idea

Instead of goofy gimmick abilities. Why not reevaluate drop chances and loot tables across the board?

A build that encourages you to waste ability weight on extra loot is what seems counter intuitive in a loot game to me.

If people are gravitating towards frames and builds that yield more loot. The answer isn't to nerf those builds. That's the red flag that should make DE ask;

"why did we even put this mechanic in the game?" 

"Why does a certain frame need a special power to overcome punishing loot drop rates?"

"Should we just tune drop rates and rework those frames?" 

They wouldnt have to worry about these interactions if they didn't exist in the first place, loot just dropped fairly across the board and those frames didn't have to waste 1 quarter of their kit on slightly overcoming bad (by design) drop rates.

Stuff like this bothers me about their development style. A meta is encouraged by their own design. They realize that meta isn't a healthy balance and nerf the subsequent meta rather than the mechanic or system that encouraged the meta in the first place.
