Relic opening capture mission bug

While playing a low level capture mission it turns into an exterminate with 5-20 enemies left. At that point you only have 3 reactant and after killing the remaining enemies you have 4-5, so the game basically forces you to extract without opening the relic. Happened 2 times in a row with different squads.
