How Strong Are The Ripkas?

Hi All

So, I've been toying around with a fitting Melee Weapon for Rhino (whoisnotadoomslayerkonckoff) & the Ripkas have caught my eye for a few reasons Chainsaws for hands, Gore and overall badness But style and looks only go a short way.

Is there any non-riven builds out there, that can go high levels?

I love the Ripkas but as you said its range is low, as for your question it doesnt hold up at high lvls(100+ tested but the fall off is lowerish at 75 with CP).

Anything that Ripkas can do Venka prime does a better job and stats, relatively speaking to claws category. The build is a normal bloodrush crit build with abit of status to bump it with Vermillion storm stance(gives some small aoe spin), focus on the slash procs from the stance.

Side note: For rhino i would go something big like Wolf sledge or hammer with some aoe...but you need it for roleplaying so....ya.

End note: Ripkas got a 5/5 riven disposition compered to Venka prime 1/5, so with a good riven Ripkas may come way ahead.

Yeah, I do use the Wolf Sledge atm, due to its really good (Status build is insane), but if the Ripkas are not that strong then guess I'll stick with the BIG HAMMER of DOOM.

I took a look at quite a few ways to build them and they're quite bad

 

Unless DE buff them, I can;t see people useing them

Sidenote: There is this (which drops from the Ropalolyst) which might improve it a tad, especially if you're running them with a corinth or an arca plasmor. Seems to be DE's attempt at a subtle buff, along with the other niche weapon mods that it drops.

I doubt that'll make them that much more viable beyond lvl 70/80ish, but it might be something worth considering anyway - if you hadn't already
