What warframe theme would you like to see?

Recommended Posts

Every frame has a theme with abilities that reflects on it. Nekros as a necromancer, chroma as a dragon frame, nidus as the infested frame  etc. What kind of theme do you think DE could explore in the future?

Since we can't get a new Armored Core game..I'd like to see a Warframe based on the Bursa that's a solid mech that can jet skate around and refill or buff everyone's ammo or it can shoot other players to boost their armor or restore health or energy since we have frames based on health and shields...so the next logical theme is ammo....and it's passive is it can't be downed by self damage..stunned..but not downed...

A Thor frame. Tanky as hell with some lightning abilities and possible buffs all perfectly completed by an exalted hammer that has passive chain lightning on hit and which can be thrown.

Native American Indian frame. Exalted tomahawks.

Marvel War Machine type frame. Passive: immune to explosions.

Transformation - like mechanical transformation, Transformers and such, not shapeshifting or mutation. It's probably beyond the scope of DE's current system, but anything like that with mechanical parts that fold, extend, get repurposed and all that stuff - that's my jam. I still have a soft spot for Bayformers just because it has so much of that (and then those weird 'turn into pixels' Transformers happened...). Even things as simple as the Bohrok from Bionicle or a good old fashioned Iron Man suit-up sequence (although, again, nanotech...) is enough to pique my interest.

Maybe that 'Redline' frame will give me something like that, since he does fold open during one of his powers, as far as we can tell.

A lava/volcano frame that uses lava and burning ash to fight.

A radioactive frame that leaks nuclear energy.

A turret or mechanical pet type frame that could possibly be a Vauban rework.

A darkness frame that absorbs or smothers light.

A swamp frame that uses water and plants.

Should be called Honkler, because memes are an important aspect of the Wf community. (or Reb said something along those lines iirc.)

A gravity theam would be nice ripping through armor slowing things down. One of their ability could scale damage off combined health and armor values.

An aura warframe with a 4 that is an oversized exalted warframe.

I mean his ult would be an Exalted version of the Kuva Jesters' squeaky hammer, obviously.

Something light/photon based would be neat. Think Takanuva from the OG Bionicle line.

Bruh Bionicle was my childhood 👍

Samurai theme

Um, Gara?

Well, technically speaking, she's an Onna Bugeisha - a Japanese order of Warrior Women who basically served as the last line of defense. That said, the order is often lumped with Samurai, especially there as there were some who served as Samurai, but mostly, they played defensive roles - and in fact, by some accounts, the order is older than the Samurai order (since, obviously, fighting existed long before the Samurai and there is always a need for defence).

A historical subversion of the 'Women stay at home whilst the Men went to war', these Women trained to fight with Naginata as their primary weapons and knives as their secondaries, and whilst the men were out conquering people, serving their lords and whatnot, the Onna Bugeisha were at home being just as if not more badass slaughtering any poor sods who thought the village or town was easy pickings. They used the Naginata because of its superb capacity as a versatile defensive tool, having enough reach to protect the wielder from most other melee weapons, being thin enough to poke through walls (and subsequently bolster defensive structure) an being long enough to not only be anti-cavalry, but have leverage to magnify heavy strikes.

And Gara? Japanese theming - Check. She's got Samurai-esque armour in her base design, and that alt-helmet too. Spears and knives? Check - her Shattered Lash was originally, and still is primarily, a stabbing move with a long, thin piece of glass - even it being secondarily a slashing weapon ties into the Naginatia's versitlity - and many of her abilities focus around shattering glass to produce short blades like knives. Defensive focus, double check in lore and gameplay. Even her most damaging power is first and foremost a defensive tool, and in terms of being a defensive jack of all trades, she's got most defensive needs covered well, even supporting other frames in the defense by offering them greater mobility.

Gara easily fits the bill for badass female Samurai, and with Glass as well, she's a crystal warrior too.

Can we have a Grineer-based frame for once? Valkyr is connected to the Corpus, Nidus is connected to the Infested, where's our Grineer frame? Plus, it could be really interesting if it were a Kuva-themed frame.
