Why Is Drops Flying Away Still A Thing?

Okay, I understand that drops flying away a bit is prettier than then just flatly dropping on floor, but do we really have to go look all over the room whenever we kill boss or something drops?

Its just flat out annoying and contributes nothing to gameplay.

Just make it slowly fly away a bit, maybe 1 or 2 meters. Anything more than that is ridiculous.

especially that some melee weapons (orthos) works like a baseball bat with the drops

Have you seen the rocket booster that is the Ignis? If I slaughter a room of infested I can make the ammo boxes do the best impersonation of Gas Molecules you ever seen :)

DE should make the loot from bosses drop the same way Borderlands did it with their 'drop system'. In that game, all the dropped loot would fall in a small radius around the supposed defeated enemy, while still making it calmly bounce 1 or 2 times on the ground, just to make it look like there are still physics applied to the items themselves.
