First Frame?

Question

I am pretty new to the game (started today but already have around 7 hours in it).

The first blueprint i bought was Ash because i enjoy stealthy gameplay and assassinating targets but i wont be able to get him untill later on because of the drops. Which Frame would you recommend me to get first that doesnt take too long to grind out and is decent overall? Just unlocked Mars but havent gotten the incubator yet because i'm struggling on the mission. (note that my game knowledge is very limited because i tried to get into it as blind as possible for the experience)

OP, you cannot get any Neural Sensors before Jupiter if you play linear/without help which cuts down a lot of frames and leaves us with:

Rhino, Baruuk, Garuda, Gara, Hildryn, Khora and Oberon

  • Rhino was already explained
  • Baruuk and Hildryn are locked behind Vox Solaris so they are excluded as well.
  • Garuda is possible on Venus Open World Bounties but gathering the Toroids may be a little bit too much
  • Gara is a possible Warframe by Earth Open World Bounties. All her required materials can be gathered here as well.
  • Khora also is possible to get, but I would against her since a) farming her is difficult and b) you need lots of resources
  • lastly Oberon. Trickiest part is getting his blueprints from Eximus Units but if you grind endless missions there isn't a huge problem

In conclusion: I'd suggest Gara, Rhino or Oberon if you refuse any help/Taxi to Jupiter

Oberon (my first-crafted, yay) is a nicely versatile Frame, you'll eventually have a full set
simply from playing random missions as his parts may drop from any Eximus.

Frost (from the Ceres boss) is pretty nifty to have, he shines in more "stationary" missions
but his combo of mass damage & CC works pretty dang nicely for just about anything.

Also, check out Clan Research (BTW join a Clan if you haven't yet),
lotsa goodies to be had there - Frames, weapons, Archwings, Sentinels, items, and whatnot.

Don't do this.... always play Warframe with your Browser open on a second screen somewhere with tabs for both the wiki and the forum....

I recommend Frost.... he drops on the Boss node on Ceres.... you have to kill both Captain Vor and Lech Krill multiple times to get him...

first of all welcome to the game, tenno.... As other players mentioned above the safe route is to go for Frost/Rhino. These two frames are realtively easy to master. l personally would have chosen Frost over Rhino; as the utilites are more in case of frost. Although, if you like to play some different style (dps) and are not afraid of a little learning curve, you can go for MAG or EMBER. the second one is much less powerful than the first one, which is an OP frame with right build.
Apart from these though, if you are in a clan, you may go for NEZHA; which imo is very similar to rhino in terms of abilities, but more fun to play. Zephyr may be another ption, but i have not played it.

Hard to say which 'frame you should go for, as so much of the game is about your playstyle.

As you progress, you'll pick up Warframes just playing the game, the first would be Rhino.  He's a good Warframe for both beginners and high mid level content, especially with Augments.

After Rhino is Hentoid Hydroid on Earth.  This one is a bit of a pain in the butt for a new player, especially if you're trying to solo or sticking with a group of similar level players.  He's a good CC 'frame with a side of Loot when you add one of his Augments.

After Hentoid is Excalibur.  I'm not sure which Starter Warframe you picked but if it wasn't Excal, he's also a really good Warframe for just about all levels of game play.  Hardy, damage dealer with a side of CC, he'll carry you through the entire map with ease.

After Excalibur is Mag. Obiviously, I think she's a good Warframe but she does take some strategic playing to make her shine through the entire star chart but it is possible.  She's not able to take a hit like Excal, Rhino or Hentoid but she's good, especially when you add in her Augments.

After Mag, is Frost. He's OG Defense & CC.  Not a fast runner but oh my goodness, can he do some insane things.

Here's a link to general star chart info, it'll tell you which Warframes drop where, resources the planet has, average levels, etc.  Pretty handy.  https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Star_Chart
