Question

  • The Junction bosses - are the supposed to feel like: engage to charge energy/dodge as needed > use ult? ability(4) > insta-win?
    • In particular - I feel like if I could only engage and never use my 4 ability, I would never be able to win. The damage output of my 4 is just so insane. Anyways, it kinda feels like cheating, but maybe that's how the game is supposed to play out?
  • How do I tell what level stuff I should be killing? In other games, you usually gauge it by your level and the enemies level. But in Warframe, there are just so many things that have levels and mods in them.
    • Do you just go by how easily you can kill stuff?
    • I'm 4 Mastery and I've been able to get to Uranus. Is this about right for me? Should I be further ahead?
  • Is there a breakdown of the daily/weekly things that I should be doing to maximize resource acquisition?
    • If so, can anyone provide a link to a site that breaks these down?

1. Yes, junction bosses are rather easy. Slap them around like the b*tch a$$es they are.

2. Gauge your enemy level threshold by testing your mods. If you can easily kill the enemies you’re fighting, great! If not, tinker more with your builds a bit. The simulacrum is a great place to test out various enemies against your arsenal.

3. I usually don’t keep track of what I need, but instead I focus on what items I want that need said resources. Just play the game how you want, run a few missions, do some nightwave, and you’ll be cruising along in no time. You can also add me in game if you need a farming buddy.

Hope this helped!

Stunning or slowing them will also work, you don't necessarily need to use your 4(depending on your warframe). I had excalibur to start with and I just blinded them and used a finisher to almost always one shot them. 😄

It really just depends on the weapon you are using. You might be able to make it to Uranus with your current weapon and warframe, but the minute you switch it out for something else, you just get pulled back to lower levels.

Focus mainly on the Nightwave missions as those have good items in them. As for resources, nothing is necessary. You just farm what you need. It is really just up to you what you want to work towards.

Nitain is something that you would have to look out for though. If you see the "Ghoul" invasion in Cetus, you should do a couple of those to get maybe around 10-20 Nitain stockpiled. This item is very hard to farm otherwise.

Do me a favour, do a youtube channel and do 20 ghoul invasion missions or whatever so we can see this magic Nitain farm.

Personally, and im sure anyone else who ever made an effort will agree, there is more chance of Elvis Presley comming back and running for president than ever farming Nitain within ghoul missions etc.

Stick to Nightwave and buying Nitain within that event.

I'm sorry if I offended you with my suggestion.

Most of my nitain came from the ghoul bounties and that may have been lucky, but I chose not to use my NW credits on nitain. This is because I preferred getting some potatoes and I'm not in a hurry to get the weapons and warframes that need nitain. It's not magic, I'm just basing it on my experience.

Are talking about the plague star bounties or regular ghoul purge bounty? plague star never drop nitain. Occasionally, I get nitain as reward from ghoul purge, but it is not a reliable source. It is hard choice between potato vs nitain, The way I see it, you can exchange prime part to  buy potato from market. Nitain, on the other hand, is a NW only thing right now.

From my experience they are easy to kill, and you can do it by any means, as defeating it means  progression to next planet.

Not neccessarily. There are Frames with abilities 1,2,3 which can take care of the boss. personally I took MAG every time, put down a bubble, and then watch the boss kill itself.

Thats one way to looking at progression, IMO. as you progress to new missions, and game modes, you will get more advanced mods, learn about the frame's abilities more, get some more weapons, do a lot of fissure mission, to get some prime parts(which you can sell or build, up to you.). new weapons and mods means more damage=ease of killing. so yeah, that may well be gauge of progression.

Sounds about right. My friend recently reached MR 5, and he is now in pluto. Although you can anytime rush the starchart, so i dont think it can be foolproof way of looking at your progression. there are so many things to do in the game, do it at your own pace, make stronger warframe and weapon build, and have fun.

In Warframe you'l always be under levelled for whatever your doing....

Its not balances properly so  you just do whatever you can.... Cheese Tactics are recommended.

Junction bosses -

Are progression markers, if it's easy you are ready for the next planet, if not then you need to do a playstyle check. Most junction specters should be easy and should not pose a challenge. You can use whatever you want to defeat them.

Difficulty

is going to be more experience based than numerical,if you can kill most enemies before they kill you then good, else you need better mods.

Resources

are more on a "what do I need to build x" thing.

There are groups that go farming specific resources, so there is no tiered list of things you should be having. Just get what you need when you need it.
