For The Opticor Vandal you definitely need a riven.... to make it behave alot more consistently.

You want either Crit Chance or Multishot...

As for Gundao.... its your Typical Blood Rush + Drifting Contact Build.... I think....

That being said.... you can sacrifice one slot for latest?cb=20171007155215

And Voila.... You have a Condition Overload viable Melee....

Due note that Weeping Wounds is an Accolyte Mod.... if you want it right now you'l have to buy it from another Player...

Well I dont have the Opticor Vandal yet but I can help with the Guandao. You basically want an all out crit build on it since its status chance is extremely low. My personal build with it excluding the riven is [Primed Pressure Point] [Primed Fury] [Blood Rush] [Drifting Contact] [True Steel] [Organ Shatter] and two 90 elemental mods.. I use [Primed Fever Strike] and [Shocking Touch]

Does Weeping Wounds work on so low a status chance? Guandao literally has a mere 4% sc.. so 45% of it is lil under 2%.. assuming at a combo multiplier of 3, its still just 6% buff.. might as well use the 60/60 elemental mods instead?

Personally I'd just focus on the crits and put Relentless Combination maybe.

Unlike Blood Rush.... Weeping Wounds is Addative.... this means at an X2 Combo Multiplier the guandao will have 49% Status Chance.....

Weeping wounds + Condition Overload makes Just about every single melee weapon pretty damn good....

Edit:

Hmmmmm According to the Wiki its not addative.....

Oh well S#&$ mod.....

Go with Blood Rush all the way then......

Yeah that would've really made it OP.. :)

Lol I hate that tactic of making fights longer/less straightforward

They aint adding invincibility phases to regular swarm mobs tho.. and thats mostly what endgame is anyways.. level 140+ bombards, etc.. Imagine tho if it was additive and equipped on a crit zaw with Blood Rush and Condition Overload.. it could one shot 150+ enemies.. it would make it more OP than Maiming

Good.... why can't we have that ?

I went full crit + lifestyle + Hunter‘s Adrenaline combo in mine. If you want more crits with combo counter with the guandao, you can also consider using Helios`s deconstructor as a stat stick.

I believe if you stack a bunch of set mods on a sentinel weapon (in this case the gladiator set) the set bonus still applies.

The lack of status does get annoying but against light units up to any reasonable level it works perfectly well. You might want to take a rapid fire armor strip secondary for those pesky heavy gunners (this really only applies when you get into level 100+ content)

You guys kept mentioning Weeping Wounds and yet forgot about Shattering Impact, didn't you ?

https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Shattering_Impact

For Optical Vandal, 4 compulsory mods for all kinds of its build are Serration, Split Chamber, Point Strike, Vital Sense
+ 4 slots left : You use 2 mod slots to make a secondary element, corrosive, or radiation, blah blah
+ 2 slots left : use any mod you want, Vigilante Armament, Speed Trigger, Heavy Caliber, Vile Acceleration, Hunter Munitions (You add Fire rate mods when you want this cannon become semi-auto). Make lots of practical tests to see which ones fit your playstyle.

I didn't forget about it.... I had it on my Zaw and it takes WAAAAAAAAAY Too long to strip enough armor off enemies to do decent damage.....

For Guandao, go full crit with point strike AND blood rush. I strongly recommend getting a riven with range + speed. Polearms can clear entire rooms with nearly as much range as whips. Attack speed will boost your blood rush buff faster and range will extend your reach far beyond the actual length of the Guandao itself.

Woses... i moded my Guandao for spin build with a riven that has spin crit and range....as it is my most used weapon its safe to say no mob stands a chance from 1 spin. Obv higher lvl and heavy armored needs a few more hits but for me and the mob lvl range im killing usualy its the perfect build.

Even if it took long to strip armor, it's the best mod to remove armor for Guandao for now (not to mention DE intends to take a look at armor level scaling). Very hard for it to proc 2 status effects on a single enemy, when we need multiple corrosive procs to completely strip them naked.

Btw, to my experience, status melees tend to do more damage than those with crit focused. Just blame Condition overload !

That's actually a good point....
