Pick One Tennogen Item/Skin/Helmet For Free Idea (PC).

So I had this in my mind for a while, asking myself if DE would make a rare deal where you can pick only ONE Tennogen skin for free with consent from the creators of said skin. It would really help the poor by giving them at least an opportunity to pick their most desired skin without having to pay with real money. 

 

But the problem that I believe would be brought up is that it won't give the creators any money until the deal has ended, and perhaps that people who can afford the skins without them being free will still take the money out of their Steam Wallet despite it saying free.

 

That's all I had in mind, opinions is appreciated!

While I'm never one to turn down free stuff and I would loves me some Tennogen but really haven't because I can't get it with plat (like you can on console) .... I just don't see them doing this.

while its a neat idea i would say no. a skin is like what, 7 bucks? its reallly low price considering how good some of these skins are and the creator only get 33% of the money made from each sell anyway.7€ where i live is around 30 minutes of work.

That seems like a weird request. Why would they give that for free? They already offer so much for free, actually an overwhelmingly amount of free stuff... 

 

Please support the talented creators if you like their work. They really do deserve it.

While I'm not a fan of tennogen (I have issue with the contractual/pay side) I don't see why this is needed...

Even 'poor' players have access to all the helmets via nightwaves and you can trade items for plat to get said helmets, skins, syandanas etc .... yes they might not be as 'cool' as some of the tennogen items but it's not like you don't have any options for 'fashion frame'

Discount would make sense but free, nope.

If you can have a setup that can run wf and you can afford to pay monthly for your internet, then you can drop at least 5$ on a game that you play and love. If you go out for a movie, you pay like 5-10$ for 2 or 3 hrs of entertainment, why not warframe that has/will entertain you for hundreds of hours.

No, warframe gives you enough free stuff. Its 1 thing to ask a freebie from a decent sized company like DE. It's a completely other matter for asking something free from independent 3D modelers. No freebies unless they get properly compensated.

They do make a lot of their money from selling aesthetics.

DE would have to ask the creators of they're willing to participate, and on what items they would be willing to offer. People would flock to those specific items, and be much less likely to purchase other ones, thereby taking money away from full priced skins.

Potentially, you might see something like DE offering to straight up buy the rights from something tennogen from the creator, then selling it for plat in game. How that would be chosen would be a different beast to tackle, wether by most purchased/used or community poll, but the creator would have to be on board either way.

I think it is acceptable that Tennogen cannot be farmed.
