Nudal Posted June 24, 2019 Share Posted June 24, 2019 We only have 2 (Male) voice options for our Operators, and both have quite certainly 'hit that age' in just how tonal they sound... So can I please start growing some peach fuzz? Personal experience, when my voice first clearly dropped, I don't remember where my Facial hair was, but I do know that I had to shave off an over 2 inch-thick beard when I was 15 and a half. I feel like our Operators are at least 14-16... Also we woke up 3 and a half years ago. Granted I realize we're "centuries" old, but that was all in stasis right? Were we literally created as perpetual teenagers for some reason? I feel like we were 'bornt' at some point, and thus aged, at some point, so we should definitely age more... right? If its a big muscular man you wanted you play then your in the wrong game. Besides there is something cool about having the body of a 10 year old and mass killing grineer and corpus in the 100s with a corupted suit of armor that moves to your whim and if I like it abandoning the suit and going commando thats an option. So no i don't want to grow and it will never happen. They are stuck like this get used to it. We were in transference pods. We were conscience, just not of what we were or where we were. We did in fact age in years, however due to what happened on the Zariman and how the void fricked us and locked us as children, we didn't age in appearance or physical form. But orokin had complete control of the generic code and could change their appearance on a whim. It would not be a stretch for DE to add just age type of cosmetics. They just shouldn't be available until players have completed certain quests. I'd call myself wanting myself to look a certain way "wanting it" lol Honestly I don't want much, just some respectable face scruff. The key thing to realise is that we don't know how much time has progressed in-game since we popped out of the pods. And the other key thing to realise is that we don't know if the pods were actually Stasis pods or not. Again, from the throw-away comments made about it, the only reasons we haven't aged so far are A) because we may only have been out of the pod for a month or two for the events of The War Within and The Sacrifice. And B) the story itself doesn't need us to have aged yet. Let's get past The New War and see what happens. You never know, getting Teen operators instead of Tween might actually be a thing and we can customise more of the visuals and get more acted voices. Pretty sure there is no actual issue with the Operator growing up a bit. (Still not trusting DE to be able to sculpt a nice female face so sticking with the male operator for now) I don't get those people who like the badly textured kid, really.
