modding generally doesn't affect specters

There is no relevancy on what mod is being used on a specter during the loadout the deployment of the specter damage is base on the mission and the weapon on its own base statistics and it scaling by the level of the specter. 

 

The only mod that i have seen working at all is Rejuvenation but i has to be equip by either a party member or the user and it heals everything from Teammates, sentinel/companions, specters & excavators.

I know that Duality Equinox takes weapon mods into account, but ONLY for the particular weapon that you have equipped when you cast Metamorphosis and split. 

For that reason, I don’t think that the amalgam mods (more specifically the ones that give another weapon an extra effect) would work.
