Console screen goes black before loading

I'm having an issue with the game going to a black screen sort of a preloading black screen before the game actually starts loading into a mission or exiting a mission.

It's as if the game is trying hard not to crash but doesn't crash

Same here, and I've heard this is widespread. It also seems that the game is completely active while the screen is black, which heavily indicates a UI issue. And with the recent rework of the UI with the Jovian Concord, while at the same time given these issues began with said update, we could imagine the rework of the UI being the root of the issue. It's up to DE to find out how what and why, and if the UI rework truly is the cause.

Just wanted to add my voice to this one, was just about to make a post. Much longer loading times right now and consistent black screen for 5-10 seconds before normal loading screen shows.
