(XBOX)Demon Intellect
The Lotus in the Apostasy Prologue, but apparently she was already able to come and go before that. I was watching someone play the second dream and completely forgot she appears in the operator's orbiter to put them in the chair. I wonder if it's a plothole of sorts because Natah says she was imprisoned on Lua, but it doesn't seem like she was, unless she was freed when the moon left the void. Edit: I had originally wrote in that she may have been referring to her helmet as the imprisonment, but for some reason erased it and never wrote it back in. Also apparently the Zariman 10 0 was an Ark of sorts being sent to colonize the Tau system. It makes me wonder if TMINTW knew about the war brewing, hence why the ship never made it and the kids were given powers. It could be to keep a balance of sorts or to be for his amusement. KnossosTNC
I don't think it was the location that she was freed from, but the programming. I think her removing her helmet was the real important part; I think that helmet maintained her connection to something in Lua, something that was keeping her the Lotus.
Chewarette
Technically Natah's "prison" was her helmet. Sure she was physically imprisoned somewhere, but what Ballas freed her from was the helmet which controlled her thoughts/inner-self
Loza03
I'd like to point out that Natah says she was 'saved' by her family. Indicating they had an active role in the process, not just a passive 'take off the helmet, wait for her to come back' The same family Hunhow said would "Claim [Lotus is] riven, they will try to reclaim [her]". This is also indicated in the New War trailer, where mother is giving Natah the exact same spiel Teshin's given us. "They seduced you" "The Lotus seduced the Tenno." Just saying, if you want your brainwashed subject to not break out, it's easier to make them think they're not brainwashed, and one good way to do that is to make them think they were, since then they'll shrug off anything they thought during that period as a lie. Like maybe being free to leave Lua whenever she wanted, once removed from the void?
Horaciozhao
He didn´t free Lotus, he freed Natah. I think when Natah said she was imprisoned, she meant Lotus personality took control of the body. Lotus on the other hand was always free.
KreyLox
My theory : I know why ballas though that lotus was Margulis. If Ballas sent Margulis in the Jade light, it was to make him a cephalon. As the Archimedian Suda. And after his transformation, orokins sent the «Margulis» Cephalon in the Natah's body when she was corrupted in the form of a human and build a guide for the tenno to kill the sentients ("we programmed to destroy my family") Natah says this quote during the Ropalolyst fight. And someway, there is 2 parts on the Lotus mind : Margulis and Natah. Somehow, the Margulis precepts merged with Natah's precepts to became Lotus. But only, the orokins deleted the "evil" side of Natah to make Lotus kind with the tenno. They litterally manipulated the duality rules like a puppet. But Ballas, with his movement to make Lotus free had in the same time delete/discplaced the Margulis precepts(part). And so, only Natah remains in the Lotus body. Natah has reborn and used Ballas to try to kill the Tenno. And then, make Ballas an amalgam. Natah didn't kill him. Because someway, Ballas made her free. And so, Ballas will never see again his love. But only if he become a cephalon, and so ask the tenno to send him to the Jade light.

Hid them in the void. Ballas makes a deal with Natah to save Margi from death. Margi goes into hiding. Natah takes Margis helemt and spoofs margi to the Tenno to get them out of hiding. Finds them useful for now. Natah Makes deal with corpus making hybrids. Wolf doesnt escape. Was released to kill the Tenno lest they find out about the hybrids of Corpus and Sentinels. Margi comes back to warn the tenno... Margi is Nora.
nslay
Can't we just put the helmet on Operator and then Operator becomes Lotus? Then we can forget about Operator...
