[Suggestion] Riven Revert Option

When rerolling a riven, we are sometimes faced with a new roll that we are unsure, at face value, would be more or less powerful than the current version. This can lead to choosing the new roll only to find upon further testing that the selection was actually a downgrade. My suggestion is to allow a window of time, 1 hour, 24 hours, whatever, and during that window, a player could go back to the rerolling screen via the mod station and rather than be faced with the standard image of the current riven and the button to reroll, we would be brought back to the selection screen between the previous and new version of the riven. If the player wanted to roll the riven again, they would simply confirm the version they want to stick with and then could reroll.

This would allow players to test out a new roll of a riven before finally committing to it, which I think would be a worthwhile quality of life improvement.

If DE allow to revert riven with cost or without cost, this also opens the door to forma polarization. Meaning people want to "unforma" their gear. Then it goes back to the market. People would want to refund their purchase for items they deem unworthy after testing them out like bundles or sydanas. So no take that risk for rerolling then choosing that randomly generated numbers.

If you're unsure if a roll of a riven is better or worse then your current, use warframebuilder

Use a 3rd party tool outside the game isn't a valid solution, but it's the right idea: all your weapon stats should be shown on the riven reroll screen.

What’s the Riven and stats you rolled and want it to be reversed? I made mistakes too to roll into wrong stats and regretted the new choice. You just have to move on and get new Rivens or keep rolling what you have. Or just sell it.

In the technical side, this would increase the size of the database eventually as the server would need to store 2 sets of stats for newly rolled Rivens. And can the Rivens be traded in the period? It might involve more technical issues and trade problems.

Cool idea, although I'm not sure how likely DE would implement something like this (hopefully yes), on another note, when rerolling rivens, let us link the new reroll as well as the old at the same time when at the rerolling screen to ask opinions of other people, because currently when in the middle of rerolling and faced with 2 options, you can only link your current roll and you have to manually type the new roll, which is super tedious.

You can link the weapon in Chat to look at its stats

Useful, but hacky. It should just show the weapon with the two rivens applied side by side, same as if you had two copies of the weapon and were comparing them in the weapon selection of the armoury.

It should just show the weapon

What if there's multiple variants that the Riven applies to?

E.g. for a Braton Riven, it'd have to show the MK-1, regular, Prime, and Vandal versions. That's a lot 😛

Whichever one you've come to the mod screen from. If you've gone direct have have just 1 show that. Otherwise yeah, the user would have to select which variant they wanted to compare.

Problem: This would approximately double the amount of space a Riven takes on DE's servers, and the reason we have a 90 Riven cap is because of limited server space.

Could just limit it to having only a Single 'TestDrive' riven at a time. For temporary testing use when deciding which roll to commit. Must commit before rolling any Other Rivens.
