Can you hide in Saryn's molt?

Question

When you cast molt you spawn it on yourself.

I don't have Saryn yet but I ask if you cast it and don't move, does non-splash attacks damage molt instead of you? Making you invincible (kind of) for >3 seconds?

Also another question:

Is strength important on Saryn and what difference does it make? Is it important?

Many people want to hide in saryn's molt 😄
The molt won't protect you from aoe procs etc.The point of the molt is that it draws enemy fire more then you (like loki's projection) so you can take the heat of yourself for a short while.

Thanks, but what I meant was if the non-aoe procs damage molt instead of you if you stay in molt, and since molt has 3 seconds invulnerability, it would make you immortal to certain attacks for 3 seconds regardless of level, that's what I want to know...

edit: the name vegetosayajin: what a man of culture,

I'm not sure but never tried it, I have to try today when I get back from work.
But (if id does protect you for the 3 sec) for the reason that it attracts more fire, I think your idea won't do for more higher level content, because the moment you get to move out of the molt you will be barraged with all the firepower in proximity.
Rolling guard is way more viable if you need that 3 seconds.

What I’ve noticed is I have to be careful with Saryns strength. I have 2 builds that all have high range (270ish). One is a low strength of around 70% for say Sanctuary onslaught or low rated enemies. The other build has all the strength mods for Elite Sanctuary Onslaught or Sorties. If ur too strong it will kill the enemies too quickly and u won’t get prolonged spread. So match Saryns strength with content.  If u get it right ull notice u hit ur one once or twice a round in SO or ESO.  Something to play around with.  But I’m not an expert on the subject. Good luck!!!
