In the focus tree's some extra abilities such as void stalker and void hunter i would love to use more its just the extra energy cost from activating those nodes is way too much of a penalty.

Also its skill tree everything on there should be a straight upgrade I have to invest a lot of work to get these abilities but i'm penalized for using them. In conclusion I say that DE should remove the extra energy cost on the focus nodes that have them.

At the very least, drop the weird 'costs more energy as it goes up'.

I'm looking at Void Radiance here. At full power that costs twice as much to activate as void dash.

I'm honestly not entirely sure why those abilities even have a higher cost to begin with. Operator energy is already a massive anti-fun factor with how literally all the cool stuff you can do is gated by it, so grabbing abilities which make it even more scarce just makes no sense to me. Maybe once you've spent eleventy billion hours in the game and have all the Focus Schools unlocked with all the Waybounds unbound you might have enough energy to afford that, but I'm not even remotely there yet, nor do I realistically see myself getting there unless something changes with the Focus system. So why not just leave all of the Void Mode abilities costing the same amount of energy? They're not Waybound in the first place, so who cares? I mean, Void Dash and Void Blast abilities don't increase the cost of those, right?

Agreed, additional costs on Focus nodes make little sense to me as well, especially since the bonuses on offer aren't particularly exciting to begin with. Beyond that, even if one makes an argument that it's okay for Focus nodes to impose Energy costs, the fact that those costs go up with rank cause certain node upgrades to downgrade us in practice: Void Radiance is probably the clearest example of this, as the ability's blind range and duration increases are pathetic (the whole effect is a poor man's Radial Blind), but the cost literally doubles. If our warframe abilities don't increase in cost when we rank them up, why shouldn't that also apply to Focus?
