Mastery Sigil Problems (new player)

I'm new to Warframe and only been playing a few days now.  For some reason I can't get my Mastery Sigil to change.  I got it when I was Mastery Rank 2 and thought it would change when I got to rank 3 but it's still the old one.  Is it just stuck at the rank you purchase it at?  My second Warframe is almost ready so I don't want to try it yet just in case.

The Mastery Sigil just takes time to update, and can sometimes just show Mastery 0 if it fails to load. Give it time to update, that's all.

Mastery rank emblem(profile) and sigil change every 3 ranks, ranks work like this: Novice - Silver Novice - Gold Novice, when you hit the next mastery rank the sigil will change
