Customer Service Feedback regarding bugged Nightwave Challenge

Last week, while catching up on Nightwave, I recovered the "use 3 Forma" challenge. I polarized some random weapons, but I didn't get my Standing! Now, Forma are a fairly important resource, and I was annoyed that I was basically robbed. I contacted DE on the support site, filed a ticket under the "Nightwave" section, and was told that I can neither get the Standing I deserve nor the Forma that were wasted. 

I am sorry for my tone, but I am honestly asking: what exactly is the point of the Nightwave section of Support? In virtually any other sort of business, I'd get a refund. In the grand scheme of things, it's just a video game and I can always make more Forma, but come on. Three Forma down the drain is a major bummer. This kind of stuff leaves a sour taste in my mouth. 

It would be amazing if DE could do a little more to take care of situations like this.

For standing, they said that they are flat-out incapable of just giving it to me because it might break my account. That's fine, it turns out that I didn't really need that specific challenge anyway. That doesn't make this okay at all, For the Forma, they said that polarization cannot be undone. I am not interested in un-polarizing the weapons, I just want a refund for being ripped off by a bug.

are you sure that's what they said?  because polarizations can be undone but they do not refund forma to players. Yes it is a sought and vital resource but it is not rare,  just time gated. You're effectively losing 3 days of forma,  unless you polarized something you actually like.  Having said that are you sure that you didn't get the nw standing?  It does not offer rewards unless you actually open the nw menu and it's possible you rolled your points over to the exact value  As in,  we're at 2000, earned 10,000 si rolled over 2000 but did gain a rank...

Yes, I'm sure that's what they said. They have said repeatedly that there is nothing that they can do, which outright baffles me. It seems like refunding my Forma would be incredibly easy. I hate to say this, but this is the opposite of customer support. This type of behavior would be seen as unacceptable in any other kind of business. What happened to customer satisfaction being the top priority?

Yes, I am losing 3 days of Forma and I want it back. It doesn't matter how rare the resource is, it's still wasted and it is not unreasonable to want it back. If I was a new player, 3 Forma would be a lot to lose. How many other people were robbed of their precious materials and didn't report it?

Did you by chance polarize while in the simulacrum? It doesn't count when polarizing there and the challenge specifically mentions this.

Recovered challenges don't work until you restart the game.

I'm not a fan of the three forma challenge either (mostly because it makes me not do stuff until Nora says so), but that's not true. You don't have to do the challenge to get to rank 15, and if you do do it, you gain 3 polarized slots. Just use it on something useful.

N, I understand your points, but I think you're overcomplicating the issue. I used 3 Forma which I otherwise wouldn't have, in exchange for a reward. I did not get the reward, and so I want what I spent back. It doesn't matter how much I spent, it doesn't matter what I spent, what matters is that a glitch caused me to waste my resources. 

PS - A friend of mine told me that he lost a Forma due to a glitch, and DE gave him one a few days later, so now I'm super confused as to why it's so hard to just reimburse me.

How exactly did your friend lose their forma? Because you did not lose your forma. You used it and got a polarized slot in return. That is probably why support won't reimburse you. Yes, it sucks that you didn't also get the nightwave challenge, but they didn't reimburse any of the players who used forma in the simulacrum either, to my knowledge.

My reply was to Cubic Clem about how the challenge is stupid because you gain nothing. That's not true, you do gain three polarized slots. The problem with the challenge is that it punishes you for using forma before Nora tells you do to so.

Edit: this is assuming the challenge works properly and you get the Nightwave standing for using the 3 forma.

I understand that, but you're still not getting my point. DE should put more effort into making their customers happy when mistakes like this happen. 

I gained nothing when I used the Forma. I didn't need to polarize anything, I only did it for the Nightwave Challenge and was ripped off. The fact that DE flat out refuses to do anything is just poor practice in my opinion.

Again, I was not talking about your case, I was replying to Cubic Clem.

I do agree with you, DE should put more effort into fixing stuff for players affected by bugs (especially the ones who can't get to rank 15 because recovered challenges don't work if you did not log in on those weeks).

On the other hand, you make it sound like you used the 3 forma on a trash weapon like Fang Prime, but according to your video you used the forma on a 1 forma Rubico Prime, 1 forma Opticor Vandal and I assume a 2 forma Amprex (you had a 3 forma unranked Amprex at the beginning of the video). I would not call that a waste of forma.

I'm guessing you may not have re-logged after getting the 'recovered' challenges?

If so, that's the same issue with being logged-in during weekly reset. It sucks... it's a rough 'lesson' to learn. 

As for support, sometimes you get a helpful person on a good day, sometimes not... there's a whole bunch of factors about un-forma'ing stuff, unfortunately, they couldn't/haven't be able to help you this time.

Unfortunately, the game is in beta, probably always will be... DE are free to do as they please, and you're free to leave at any time you wish. If they could fix this bug, I suspect they would've by now. It's probably far more complex than many of us could imagine. It's a crud outcome for you, unfortunately... no way to sugarcoat it.
