Any idea which rivens are most likely to get nerfed this time?

Question

Another Riven dispo change is coming this weekend right?

Last time I got screwed royally. I have a feeling that history is going to repeat itself. Specially concerned about my redeemer riven because if it gets down even a little, I wont able to reach 100% status. My Tiberon and Rubico already down the ground and I am afraid my Catchmoon is going to dive deeper this time. Hard times ahead.

Any weapon that is widely used by the community is likely on the chopping block. That is why Riven mods exist. To make less used weapons more desirable due to higher riven disposition.

Its not that you got screwed, but more that you use the same weapons everyone else uses. The riven mods were always meant to be a fluid, ever changing system for weapon ‘balancing’ and I use the term balancing lightly.

Try not relying too heavily on riven mods and you may find that disposition changes affect you very little. I’m a MR27 and I only have one weapon with a riven mod that’s any good and can complete any mission presented to me with other weapons.

if you love that weapon, the riven dispo wont matter ❤️

(but actually it does, if my rubico gets another nerf, which i believe is definitely going to happen, my bonus clip will be down to +1 instead of +2 magazine size)

Yeah exactly.

Explain me this. There are only 3 viable Eidolon hunting snipers in game. Eidolon hunt is a popular game mode. Obviously those 3 weapons are being used a lot because of this reason. Anyone uses Lanka Rubico Vectis for regular missions frequently? So if they keep nerfing those 3, what is the alternative? Isnt the point of riven dispo changes to encourage players to use less popular weapons? What if, there are no less popular weapons?

I understand the logic behind dispo changes and how it works supposedly for "better". But instead of balancing weapons, nerfing rivens that we either payed for or rolled spending time, so aggressively, feels a poorly designed system.

Would you stop using rubico lanka if their disposition is 1? So what other weapons are getting benefited from this?

i personaly think they should look at the popularity on a per activity popularity cause stuff that is popular is majority of activities need to get the chop while stuff like the rubico lanka etc used in like exclusibly the eidolons and orbs they dont cause they dont represent majority content

No one ever said you had to pay for your riven mods. That was your gamble to make. I’m perfectly happy earning them and dealing what I get or trading them off. I could never understand someone spending +1000p for a mod that could change in a single update.

The weapons that are benefiting from this are the ones less used. As the most used weapons are used for their power, crib or status giving those bonuses to “lesser” weapons, you then make they the new go-to. It keeps the weapon loadouts changing rather than sticking to the same old few weapons everyone uses.

Give it a day or two after a disposition change and players find a way to adjust to new weapons to achieve the same goal.

Please! With due respect, atleast give me the benefit of doubt of not being dumb. No need to explain how riven dispo works, I learned that lesson in the hard way.

I have over 200 rolls on few rivens, and I did my fair share of trading, what I do with my plat is my decision. After finishing every single thing that can be done in this game, and buying every single item that can be purchased in-game market, min maxing builds is what I can think of doing, other than occasional helping my clan mates dealing with some intimidating boss. Now, I am done with 6 formas on pretty much all useful frames, maxing pretty much all useful mods, and kuva farming, riven trading is basically what I can do to spend some time in this game.

I care for my rivens, I worked hard for them. You would need to be exactly in my shoes to understand why I would offer 6k plat for a secondary riven (and I still got refused lol). Anyway sorry for the long rant, Good Game to you.

Weapons I generally use never get used by the community in spite of being ridiculously powerful.

I can pretty confidently say all the kitguns will get hit. They buffed Gaze even though is was already strong and the others still see a lot of use. Rattleguts more because there's... what 3 other good Auto pistol options? Kitguns are one of the few weapons I use along side the community so I've little doubt on them getting hit.

Ignis Wraith will prolly bottom out at 0.55 finally. Maybe Galaxion, Opticor, Gremlins, Zhuge, Akjaraga, Tysis. Outside that who knows. I play mostly Solo so Disposition changes look totally random to me because they're not a factor of performance in the least. I mostly just laugh at the changes but sometimes they get one of my lovelys.

Exactly the kind of reply/discussion I was hoping for, Thanks.

Zhuge got buffed last time if I remember correctly. I dont think people started playing this weapon yet, the hype is all about the prime and its limited into overpriced rivens so far. But if the prime is good, it will get hit in another 3 months for sure.

RIP Ignis wraith, its about to join the same club as tigris where using a riven is a waste of a mod slot.

Kitguns specially Catchmoon is set for another dive, I can tell looking at the rate of my clanmates are using/buinding/recommending them.

we dont even need a riven to run 5x3 tho, sure you can no longer 1 hit limbs, but you can compensate by pumping up your fire rate + reload

We dont really "need" rivens for anything. I know a Chroma who likes to bust limbs with kitguns and he is damn good at it.
But wouldnt you miss it one shooting those limbs?
A part of this game I really like is, it lets me to become stronger when I put effort into it. Which has its obvious downsides because enemies are not scaled properly. But still ... the satisfaction of wiping out 8 lvl 165 corrupted heavy gunners in two shots is something else.

you can still do that with rivenless lanka, as long as you stack enough combo counter, lanka is more satisfactory to use for hunts because of the high risk high reward thing but its probably just preference. well anyway nerfing dem rivens is DE's way of saying, "people are playing this weapon too much, have them try out other weapons"

deal with it

Try out what other weapons 😞 Is there a 4th viable sniper I dont know off.

I understand DE's way of thinking but I think its flawed. If they really want us to try other weapons, they need to make other weapons better, fix balancing.

Dealing with it isnt really important. A lvl 200 CHG can be killed by 30 different weapons in game without any rivens. Its just a bad strategy of weapon balancing.

Melee will be a mess. I've partially avoided rolling them till DE figures out what they're doing with the combo meter.

I don't even consider Catchmoon a very good weapon. It's Tombfinger getting hit that will get me. Mostly because even without a Riven, it's still pretty much the best semi-auto pistol in the game long as you don't mind projectiles. Nerfing the Disp is kinda pointless till they bring in a new semi-auto Pistol.

Personally, I need Rivens but that's cuz of how I play or have in the past. They're useful for pushing lvl 300+ Solo runs. Also they can make some interestingly unique weapons like a Pure elemental Heavy Blade or a 100% Status Corrosive + Heat shotgun instead of Corrosive + Blast sometimes they even fix a weapon like -%Impact on Ak-Magnus or Marelok.

Check out DoubleXXF on YouTube. He uploaded POV videos of 6x3s with a bunch of different snipers and like a dozen other weapons. Those are all using Chroma as the main dps, but if you look around on YT for a bit you will also find a bunch of 6x3 videos using Ivara (usually with the Sancti Castanas, but there's also some runs with other weapons).

This whole threat started based on your feeling that because you use riven mods or paid a lot for them, that they should somehow be immune to the changes that everyone knew was ongoing. You can dress it up anyway you want, but you are simply mad that your “god roll” rivens will be reduced to ‘meh’. I am in your shoes. I’ve had epic rivens that got disposition changes and just accepted it and moved on. I’m not telling you what to spend your plat on, I’m simply saying that DE owes nothing to the riven community and no amount of stomping your feet will change that. Does it suck that rivens you’ve learned to love change? Yes but the game I still still very playable without them. If I had it my way, rivens would slowly be removed from the game altogether and as a warframe design council member I have seen many changes made based on our suggestions.

Anything to clear out old powercreeps to make room for new ones to be milked.

So the cycle continues till the next balance which will open room for the next powercreeps.

After 5 years around i have already lost count of how many nerfs before releasing new shinny OP gadget i saw.

No one "knows" but as advised previously by DE the usage / damage of weapons is a major factor.

I have a "groll" rubico riven (I have only ever seen one riven as good / better) that has taken a few hits but is still well worth the mod slot. A "groll" doesn't stop being a "groll" due to riven changes.

Have fun and may RNG be forever in your favor.
