yadalaboth
Kinda Very superficial and pointless, but does anyone else think that having black energy actually look like black energy instead of no energy look cool? I get how alpha channels work and how some 2D effects that have transparent elements actually use black as the transparency colour and all, and far more importantly, just how much of a negative impact there would be if you couldn't turn this option off, but can we have some kind of button like the "Visible when Holstered" option called "Energy is Translucent?" And if that happens, the energy isn't actually transparent anymore? It would make some (but defiantly not all) weapons look way cooler, and at the same time, wouldn't ruin things like Limbo changing the screen to his energy colour in the rift (I think. I have no idea how Limbo works). I think the best way for me to explain it is with a picture. If the "Energy is Translucent" slider is a the NO option, a black War or Exalted blade would look something like THIS: (just take away the red glow, sadly) EDIT: Instead of a Y/N option, there should be an Alpha Slider to have better control over the energy glow. Xaero
Black crystal sword from SW: TFU is a nice example. White glow should stay IMO.

OvisCaedo
Perhaps if they also add a "nearly invisible" color to easy selection. I'm used to seeing people actually eagerly endorse using black energy colors on things BECAUSE they become so subtle, to try to counteract how overwhelmingly obnoxious DE's VFX design choices have been getting over the years. I included an "Energy is Translucent?" option as the way of accomodating this, so you can toggle the "nearly invisible" on your weapons/frames. Would be nice to take it a step further though and have some kinda slider for and choose how translucent each individual color is. so you could say have your solid black but also have a partially see through second color mixed in or around it or some such. More in depth customization is always good. Which yes I know you already mentioned but I'm saying it's the preferable option of the two hands down. As it would result in being able to keep your red glow if you wanted as well. It's just better if it can somehow be applied to individual parts instead of to everything as a whole or nothing. Oh. So instead of a Y/N, its like the Alpha option on the Regalia? Clever.
