(XBOX)Zweimander
It's funny how people complain about wasting rolls and Kuva when it is known to everyone that riven dispositions have and will change from the very beginning. If they had not told us outright that they would change they may have some ground to stand on but they invest resources knowing the rivens they rolled may be hit. They have only themselves to blame and should just stop complaining honestly...
_JustSomeone_
Some of these riven updates makes no sense.... Example: Tetra: 1.5->1.45... This weapon really needs a boost to begin with xD Glaxion: 1.35->1.25 : I'm neutral here

It's because DE has not implemented an "Endgame" yet, as such many players believe becoming as strong as possible as the endgame. Fashion frame is a money sink which I don't want to get in to, and while rivens are "free" if you farm, that's only if you have all the time in the world. Warframe, in my opinion, has always been about the power fantasy like with Diablo, becoming as strong as you can be. Besides, what else do you expect the players that have basically everything to do in the game? Endless runs? No thanks.Amassing credits? Useless. Ducats? You get something good from Baro twice a year, no need. Arbitration? I mean, once you have the mods, you don't really need the rest. Sure, the seasons help with content now, but all we are getting out of it is basically just cosmetics. I don't really care what my frame looks like, I care about how efficiently I can dispatch enemies. Looking good is just a bonus. Personally, I think rivens shouldn't even exist in the game - It's just lazy "balancing" in place of actually buffing the weak weapons. But Rivens are a cash cow that DE won't give up, so we gotta put up with this garbo.

Yeah even before the very first update (that was waaaay too late imo) pretty much at creation, it was noted that Rivens were set to change. So it was that way from the beginning. And people still get surprised by it even though they have schedule now.

I mean I understand it to a point as one of the aforementioned players who have everything but I accepted that dispositions would change the moment I read it. Sure I like to be as powerful as possible as well but their is a limit to that as well so I am happy in my current state as a demi god and do not need to ascend to true godhood. It feels like I have just the rigth amount of power from a lore perspective therefore I have no reason to be disappointed at the moment. Opinions will always differ I admit that but some people take stuff WAY to personally as far as disposition changes, many of which are well deserved as the weapon is already godlike on it;s own without a riven in most cases. (XBOX)COA Altair
Once they did the first sweeping round of changes, people should have stopped caring about rivens a whole lot. I know I did. Because as soon as DE decided to motivate and start paying attention to rivens/get a schedule concerning them, it was over and done. Any weapon that has pushed stats is eventually going to end up getting nerfed into the ground. Tiberon was amazing, I had the perfect roll for it with multi, CC, CD, minus puncture. Multishot was just under 110 so it was basically perfection. Now? That same riven probably has like 70 multishot or something garbage. You don't NEED rivens to be good in this game, people just think they're absolutely essential to compete when a primed bane/expel mod is likely to get you the same mileage as a riven mod, especially when a lot of rivens have crappy negatives that impact your DPS. If you want a weapon to deal a S#&$ ton of damage, use a sonar banshee and see damage numbers you will NEVER see with any riven, period.

A civilized and valid argument, I can agree with the points you've made. Problem is, this doesn't solve the Tigris Prime, Kitgun, Tiberon problem. All top tier weapons that outperform nearly all weapons without a riven. Other weapons require rivens to compete with these monsters, so taking away rivens from those just serves to make the gap between weapons all the more apparent. It's essentially forcing you to get a riven for non-meta weapons, which is time consuming, and also not worth it since rivens are subject to change. I think these balances are serving the opposite purpose - While they aren't forcing people to use meta weapons, if you want to be efficient, using meta weapons is just better. My Tiberon/Tigris without a riven outperforms all my other weapons even with rivens... And that's not even talking about the Atterax/Gram/Zaw problem... This is all leading to the point I've been trying to get across - Why do rivens exist? Just balance the weapons properly. But the money from rivens is just too great, so weapons aren't being balanced...
GingaNinjah
The real kicker is they screwed up NEARLY! everyone with a Lanka but it doesn't stop there ooo noo...Riven disposition 2 out of 5 cant wait for 1. Already i am downloading a new game and could not care less anymore about what they do, My credit card goes back into my wallet and I do need plat, or do i? Suidice
So are 90% of all the other guns in the game. Difference is snipers are janky and without punch thru like the snipetron vandal, are a pain in the ass to use

And to be fair, almost every weapon is 100% overkill nearly all the time against normal mobs.

So it was that way from the beginning. And people still get surprised by it even though they have schedule now. For me, it's not about when, but why. Why did some weapons get nerfed, and others buffed? The only reason people even started using the Glaxion was because of the Vandal version. Now with it being nerfed, people may toss it aside again. Why was Tetra nerfed? I've not seen a single person in random use a Tetra to date. Why was Soma buffed? It's a well loved weapon and does really good damage. If we're going to get these continuous changes, we should also have reasons behind those changes. When other companies, like Riot, or even the scum of the Earth Epic, change stuff around, they at least give a reason as to why those things were nerfed or buffed. The reasons might not be good, but at least we got exact reasons. With Rivens, we're told about some "power scale" in the office, but we don't know what that scale consists of. Is one of the criteria "How likely the weapon is to one shot a lv 60 Butcher"? Or "How likely the weapon is to be colored pink"? Or even "How likely is Scott going to butcher the name during the next livestream"? What are the reasons. DE doesn't even need to go through the exact reasons with each weapon, a simple "Here's how we gauge the power of each weapon. We feel like X weapon was dealing with enemies too quickly, so we nerfed the disposition" would suffice. I also agree that if DE is going to constantly ruin our hard work, we should have more control over how the Kuva is spent. I own several Rivens that are at 70+ rolls, with a 106 roll Lenz, and a 300+ Opticor. We shouldn't have to spend hours and hours and hours farming the same boring ass mission for Kuva just to roll stats that aren't +Zoom, +Reload, +Grineer Damage, and other useless stats, or rolling stats like +Critical Chance on a weapon like the Nukor, which doesn't have a decent Critical Chance. I'd gladly spend 10k Kuva on a single roll if it meant I could guarantee a single positive roll. At the very least, we should be refunded an amount of Kuva during each of these cycles. We get our Forma refunded when Warframes and Weapons receive changes, why not Kuva as well?
(PSN)Multi-Melta
Why does the Viper keep getting hammered every time? Am I missing something crucial or do I need to slam another 6 forma into the thing? wizardeiges
Tetra..nerf? lol people actually use that weapon? I play pretty consistently and let me tell you,I forgot the gun even existed and can't even remember the last time I ever saw someone use it. It's like nerfing a nerf gun, what is even the point? 😎 Can we get a nerf to knell and hind next? might as well get to all the nerf guns. ❤️ if they're going to be terrible weapons,at least let them excel at being terrible even with rivens just like tetra. I'm not even mad,I actually laughed a little at tetra getting nerfed. I legit want to see nerfs to hind, lets see how bottom of the barrel it can get.Or at the very least nerf tetra more just for the laughs.
