making clans even better

hi i lead varden in the top three largest clans on switch warframe, heres a few things i think would make clans better.

1: adding motd to the daily log in reward

2: make an automatic apply for clan option

3:make it so you can sort your member list by amount of donations

4: make it so you can ban people from your clan.

5: add  a audit log

6:tags

1: i feel like there just isnt a easy way to communicate in mass to members, the motd of the day feels like its in a area where not many people look, i think adding the motd in the daily log in would help with communicate since members logging in for the day would immediately see the msg, i think this would help because right now members dont have much of a reason to enter the clan menu besides a fast way to enter there dojo from orbitor without going to navigation. another reason is, they should of been together from the start. they would fit together quite well.

2:i think if som1 clicks on your link to your clan it would be very helpful for large clans to click a button and it will send a  msg to som1 high up in the clan, with basic info on that person, like there mastery rank, previous clans, play hrs, and like a short msg that person wants to send in there application just simple stuff, and for the person in the clan to just have to look through a list of applications and accept or decline would make things so much easier.

3: i have almost 500 members, i cant tell who has donated and who hasent, this isnt that big a deal for me as we have all the weapon and frame research but being able to sort by amount of donations would help smaller clans

4:as it stands if som1 wants into your clan all they need to do is change there name and, and as a moon i cant hangout and  talk with every single member, so a member who changed there gamertag could easily slip in, so adding an option where you type in som1's gamertag and the reason for there ban that will notify you that a inv cant be sent to them and why you previously banned them would be helpful.

5: i have multiple recruiters to help me recruit i also have multiple decorators, i think being able to tell who invs who and who changes what about the dojo would be amazing.

6:tags would be amazing to help tell who is whoi n alliance chat and clan, like [wl] for the them being the warlord of there clan or [mod] for being a moderator of the alliance chat, or al for alliance leader, these tags would only be in the alliance and clan chats to keep it from clogging other chats, but i feel like especially in larger alliances it would help to tell where they stand in there alliance. actually making the tags would be really cool too, but just having basic ones would still be nice.

It is also meant to show up in the Clan Chat. I am not sure if this works on Switch or not. Unless you had to click through it on the Daily Login screen I doubt it would be much different than now. I completely ignore that screen and just pick what I want for my reward. I would never see the MOTD.

I don't want this at all. People that do want this make a Google Docs form. For most clans this is totally useless information, for very few it would actually be beneficial. I do not think it is worth DE's time investing in this.

There is an issue with this. Not all donations are of equal value. Maybe one member in the clan just wants to donate Forma. Surely 100 Forma donated is more useful to know than 1000 Alloy Plates. Yes, this system could be implemented (fairly easily too), but it would be reasonably uninformative. But that depends on your goal with it. I would much rather know who has contributed a higher value resource than common ones.

I do not know how this works on anything but PC. But there is a platinum charge for it on PC. I doubt many people would pay this fee just to rejoin your clan.

  • Maybe this is an issue, I do not know. I cannot comment as I am unsure.

Both Audit Logs and Tags could be useful to some people. I don't need them for my clan, but it is small.

I have run online gaming communities since 2002, your suggestions would make the clan less personal, and more “stat based”. Your suggested option to join a clan with a message to clan leadership no better than an online application at Wendy's.

MOTD has been a around forever. It is never noticed on virtually any platform. I originally wanted a msg board in the dojo until I realized that the only people in the dojo are trading and grabbing research. The truth is if you want to communicate to mass members effectively, you need a proper chain of command.

Sorting by donations helps no one when trying to find who is doing what. I have had clan members who don’t donate much but are instrumental in some events or have the fun factor that is donation enough. Sorting by donations would be the equivalent of ranking players based on the platinum they have purchased. The move needs to be towards more personal and friendly or you will drop players as fast as you can find them.

I would love to know who invited who, but usually I can just ask and someone will be able to answer me in a short period of time. DE shouldn’t have to do the leg work for clan leadership. Ask and you shall find out.

Chat tags create clutter that isn’t really that necessary. If you’re important, they know who you are already.

I have been in clans since gamers first crawled out of dial-up and seen many changes for the good and bad. Trying to have programming that takes the personal touch out of your clan is not a good thing. Then there is nothing that separates you from the countless others on your platform.
