State of the Game?

Question

Hey, I'm a bit lost with all the reactions people are getting about Warframe. When I first started, this game was at its pinnacle as a f2p ethical game with loads of content. These days, I look up and listened to critics from commentators such as LifeofRio and others who speak about the problems I didn't know about initially.

My current status is that I've yet to complete standings in Cetus and Fortuna, but I have completed all the nodes and quests. I'm informing my progress because I need to ask this community a question: do I need to be concerned about these issues? If so, are they everlasting problems that are part of the game, or are they the building weight that may bring Warframe to ruin?

Is Warframe fine, or is it in trouble?

These content creators make these kind of videos not because they think that Warframe is in trouble. They make these videos because they fear they won't be making other content. They fear to lose their audience. Because of that they make click-bait videos.

Has the game issues? Sure, every game out there has its issues.
Is the game "dying" because of that? Hell no, the game gets more and more people, the community is growing. Maybe not as much as a few years back, but it's still growing. Warframe outlived a lot of other games, and is still going strong.

And let me tell you, just because you may lose interest in the game one day, doesn't mean the game is bad or anything. It's fine to take a break from a game, or even leave a game, if you don't enjoy it anymore.

Key thing to keep in mind about youtubers is they're typically concerned foremost about views. Not really about what they say. If they have a point, then take the point at face value, and don't read any deeper.

For example:

Do you have to pay for slots? Yes.
Is it a problem? In certain contexts.
Is that the end of the world? No.
Will someone try and spin it as such? Yes.

I watched a warframe youtuber very recently who tossed around a phrase which rightly incites a pretty toxic attitude from viewers. He had a point, and it would be something worth talking about. Was it the end of the world though? No. Did his comment section seem to think so? Yes.
