--Aegis--MR9
Just because something is "Popular" doesnt mean its "Over Powered".

Rathalio
Riven were made to balance weapons that were kinda unplayable compared to other ones. And so, when a weapon is super popular you can admit that it feels better / more powerfull & efficient for most people and so, other weapons feel a bit worse than this one. That's why they nerf a bit the riven disposition to try to balance it a bit more to make every weapon as good in people mind as "meta" / very popular ones. Nez-Kal
Personally, I'm quite enjoying (read as "tolerating") the new Riven ReDisposition system, where they change it up every 3 months, and they have a cap on how much something can be nerfed, or buffed, including the change in the last round, with a more hands-on and human element to study and determine if a Riven, though appearing in the algorithm, shouldn't be adjusted (read as "nerfed") at all. This I feel is much better than some of the past styles of "Oh, Rubico Rivens are popular and so is the weapon because it got a Prime? Better nerf all its Rivens to 1 Disposition, so it's not as over-overwhelmingly popular" nerfs, that were sudden, jarring, and made everyone feel cheated. This new system at the very least gives you a heads up that about a year down the line that Riven will be significantly less effective. LSG501
Well supposedly DE have a new 'damage figure', likely along with popularity, they use to balance things which is now resulting in annoying and in some cases large nerfs to some of the more popular weapons... would have been much better to use a 'damage balance' approach from the start rather than their popularity (I even said as much back then) but DE obviously had other reasons (if I'm being honest I'd say plat...). If they'd have done things sensibly at the start and based it on damage (set values for each category too) rather than popularity we'd not be having the issues we're having now and people wouldn't be getting annoyed about their rivens being nerfed or the lack of space some people have for rivens....
YazMatazO
The only thing I am wondering about is - will all Rivens go to 1 dispo given enough time? Edited July 7, 2019 by YazMatazO

The reason for this is Rivens are targeted with a Disposition nerf if their Popularity peaks go significantly above the common usage average. So, not everything will go down to 1 Disposition, just....likely most of the higher MR stuff and Meta gear. Remember, there's a reason some of the Rivens get Buffs too, and that's because they fall significantly Under this common usage average, at least, for that 3 month time span since the last adjustment. (Or in cases of Tonkor and Simulor, they're slowly climbing up every 3 months, due to their original and unfair mega Weapon and Disposition nerfs from the very beginning.)
