Anyone Else Name Their Operator?

Obviously there isn't currently an option to assign a name to your Operator outside your in-game display name.  However, I've taken to calling my female operator as "Athena".  Has anyone else named their Operator?

I tend to call all my female characters Alyss, so... I guess so.

That is the purpose of the chosen nickname of mine. I was from the beginning, Laveillon. The game just happened to become like this, so it's even better and i feel complete. (Though i wish i could get a beard like in the Duviri Paradox trailer)

My Operator is called Dhrekr and has always been called Dhrekr. He has been referred to as Dhrekr by several enemies in the game, such as Vor.

It sounds like your Operator might have been referred to, in game, as JuggernutGaming, which is an exceedingly silly name.

No my operator doesnt really have a name. I just havent thought about it, maybe because I started playing before operators were a thing?

I figured my username was gender-neutral enough, so that's what she goes by. I like how the little radio popups call me by my name and it's not something silly like if I had a conventional username, though it would be nice to have the option to actually name you character instead of enemies addressing you by you account's name.

I always refer to my operator amiably with "YOU IDIOT", mostly because unlike frame abilities, everything around operators seams to have some form of delay (E.G. just switching or going void mode after an attack), or an invisible condition to be met (E.G. energizing dash requiring some distance covered to trigger).

I've always used this name everywhere. So yeah, I'd guess you could call my operator Zelorath. I really like 3 syllable names like Sephiroth, Silphatos, Vladimir and so on, so I made up my own name back in the day. I really like the letter Z too, hence the name.

Indeed it is, and one that I devised when I was like 12 years old.  Perhaps I should consider changing it. 🤔

I'm writing a fanfic that involves an 'alternate timeline' version of my Operator (aka, they have the same backstory I assign to my Operator, but weren't the player or 'Unum's chosen' so they wound up in dramatically different circumstances), where they're going by 'Sunyatta', so I guess that?

I haven't even thought about naming my operator before... This game does not give much space for roleplaying. The sun/moon (or whatever) options during the main quests aren't close enough. So sadly, I just look at my operator as a tool, much like my warframes. I have more emotional connection to my Valkyr than my operator.

Yes and I wish there was an option to actually give the operators that name. Like how we can already name weapons and pets, Although I feel like that won't happen since they Inherit our account name.

Really I feel she should be called Shelneroth. However shi is usually done up in Rei Ayanami cosplay so I tend to refer to her by that name.
