PRIME TRAILERS, By the CGI intro team?

Recommended Posts

Seriously, the same people that did the Warframe CGI intro for Tennocon should start doing all the Prime trailers.

I mean, if DE can afford to drop 250k on a trip to space, and the bois that did the CGI intro have a top notch skill set. I don't see why not.

Man we'd be in for a treat. Let them bois do dem prime trailers. Then everyone happy. I need my Mesa Prime trailer in HD CGI.

Just a thought.

Thank you.

I mean, if they have the time. And the return on investment is worth it. There's a difference between a trailer that'll actually have an ingame use versus trailers that only exist to hype something. But I doubt they'll renege on stopping with Prime trailers anytime soon.

I wouldn't mind if it actually came in amalgams.
If its hard to bring 1 by 1, then group them and show it as a longer one.

Group the 2018 line up and show it at the end of each year or better, Tennocon.

This is all assuming if the investment is worthwhile.

The CGI intro is literally going to be the intro for the game itself, though. It's to get new players hooked on the game. I'm almost certain it cost a lot more than "250k" to make, and probably a single prime trailer is going to cost quite a lot more than that. As a reminder, Frozen had a budget of $150 million. Cutscene-quality CGI is extremely expensive, and the primary reason prime trailers aren't being done anymore is because it wasn't worth the money to have their scripting and animation guys do in-engine trailers, because the increased sales weren't significant enough to justify either hiring new dudes specifically to do Prime trailers or taking guys off doing cutscene scripting and animation direction for other things just to do a Prime trailer.
