Vauban Rework Skills idea

Besides needing a healthy survivability boost, many have asked for turrets to be implemented into  his kit. I would love to see a Wisp like rework to a selection of 4 turrets, either boosted in sustainability based on a link to Vauban's stats, or independent and modable. You could have 4 turrets operational at a time, they can follow like lures or be deployed/anchored for greater firepower and accuracy.

The four mobile Weapons turrets I propose are:

1. Gatling cannons ala Supra or Secura Dual Cestra style in function, just bigger and beefier. They would be most effective against Infested targets,

2. Dual Missile Launchers, effective against Grineer Armour.

3. Rail Cannon, most effective against Corpus or Grineer armour targets

4. Plasma Cannon, functioning like the Arca Plasmor, effective against Corrupted and Sentient targets.

Each weapon would have 2 fire modes, one for mobility (Reduced accuracy, damage and fire rate) And deployed at location, 360' rotation fire arc, and increased accuracy, damage and fire rate. If a turret is destroyed it can be recast, perhaps on a cool down timer. Each turret would have the status effects most suitable to the enemy type perhaps acting similarly to the Bane mods. The turrets would also scale to the level they are in for both health and firepower.

Instead of Bastille, perhaps he could have a Void Shield, creating a dome like Limbo's Cataclysm,  more transparent, but functions like Volt's shield. The range and duration of the shield would be based on Vauban's mods. It would be stationary.

To synergies the Void Shield with the turrets, I would propose the Gatling Cannon's fire rate would increase 90% (It would have the A Teams magazine capacity of course). The Dual Missile Launchers would gain multi shot 200% as the missiles pass through the shield. The Rail cannon would gain additional critical chance, 200% and Crit Damage increase 200%. The Plasma Cannon would get an AOE boost +10 metres.  Obviously figures can be worked over by the Dev.

His second skill could be the traps. However his Tesla Grenades would function more like Wisp's motes. Deployable 6 in an area and attachable to your team mates. Perhaps the 2nd dispenser would provide mobile volt shields to team mates, the 3rd an armour upgrade and the fourth a Hazmat style dispenser that reduces or nullifies Status Effects for a duration based on Vauban's duration.

Finally, give him an Exalted Thunder Hammer and "Storm" Shield, to lay waste to his enemies.

Vauban is a Combat Engineer, He can fight but he supports his team mates, providing cover and fire power support at hard points.

Explain the reasoning behind this. What makes them effective against specific factions?

BTW: This rework is an entirely new Warframe, not Vauban. So its not bound to happen

Granted, however the skills he does have are pretty much irrelevant today. The reasoning behind turrets? Many people agree they should be in his kit. This is one proposal for such. As for faction specific bonuses, also explained through either status or Bane mod like features built into the turret.

Depends on the route they will take. Keep the balls or model up some turrets? How far will they go to make this age-old frame relevant to today's frame standards?

We can at least expect his kit to grant him more mobile options to deploy on-the-go and have them follow around when Vaub hops from place to place.

Alternatively to turrets being rideable which might be an animation nightmare, they could be deployed, and follow like Eidolon Lures do or alternatively to that, similarly to a Wukong Clone.

another vauban suggestion revolving around turrets... sigh

Have you got some suggestions of your own to put forward instead of whining about what others figure might be a good kit addition?

ask yourself a question. Of all the tech vauban seems capable of producing shown through his many applications, Minelayer, tesla grenades, bastille, vortex. a turret why?

Nevermind the fact he could utilize the tech from said uses to turn his traps into means of attack via a tractor field that flings them at the targets, burrows them into their foes. Turns the enemies into living mangled death traps.

Hell the vortex grenade alone already confirms he can make gravity based traps, meaning he could heavily alter his own gravity, or those of his enemies, slow them to a crushing halt and make himself remain airborne.

Tech for tesla and concuss could make magnetic plasma storms.

Tech from tesla and bounce implemented to make emp pulses that disable electronic based weaponry and shields.

Tech for tripwires and shred could be implemented allowing embedment into those witless enough to walk into them.

Utilizing the tech from both his Bastille and vortex to make a controlled gravity field that forms a small blackhole.

The stuff vauban is shown able to use we could make him make areas of denial, turn his enemies into living weapons, booby trap the battlezone and make escape that much more difficult for the enemies.

Combat Engineer doesn't have to be some ninny that can't use their wits to fight the opposition. Nothing more hostile a battlefield than death waiting for them at the slightest misstep.

Community go to: A turret...

Btw that whining you accuse me of doing? Overwhelming disappointment.

In  the end it is still your humble opinion, one amongst many is it not? His old kit is clearly worn and outdated. Mirage makes traps and hardly anyone uses them. As for Vauban having some offensive capability, that is what his Hammer and shield (Exalted) would be for. Heck that too could synergies with turrets for marked targets hit by the hammer, pinpointing them for destruction with an additional damage bonus.

I was a Combat Engineer, and honestly the best way to deny the enemy terrain was to mark it as hostile, so they either avoided it, going into fields of fire we wished them to go, or spend time and resources clearing it. Either way it is a very static form of warfare that in game does not work, as demonstrated clearly by his current kit. Trying to snazz it up is like polishing a turd that no one wants, even if it synergies with other things. His kit is still very static.

At least what I am proposing gives him some much needed mobility, while still being relevant to his area denial roots. He can do both, while also supporting his team mates with specialised gear. Armour increasing, status nullification or reduction. Increased offensive and defensive capabilities with shielding, all of that kit would support other frames whilst maintaining mobility, exactly as Wisp does.  At least this way, as I propose, Vauban would not really step on the toes of the other warframes.
