Ex4ngunat3
I was attempting to open a secret lab door on a solo extermination mission, when I got the dreaded "you are about to fail the mission" message. I raced to extraction to not lose everything I had collected. WHY create these time consuming puzzles, if you are going to put a time limit on a solo mission? I am discouraged from trying this new content knowing I could lose everything if I take too long to solve the puzzle.
Cradicias
Uh...What? There are no time limits on missions (unless you're doing a sabotage and there happens to be one after you set off the reactor). Not sure what you ran into.
Lazarow
I did a capture mission a while back when they were first added, and I did the puzzles for 20 minutes and got no such message. I only gotten this once in a lua exterminate doing puzzles but I was still not done killing the required so when I killed one more it refreshed and I got back to the puzzle. I do think they should remove the mission fail as I see no reason to be there in the first place maybe it goes heavy on their servers or something I would understand an afk fail but you are moving and doing something which is unlogical can someone explain why this exists

Because the time limit is there for a reason and has existed for a long time prior to the release of this content. No, I don’t know what the reason is. You might be able to kill stuff to delay it, DE has mentioned a 15 minute timer around killing before. If you don’t kill for 15 minutes you are AFK and the mission ends/tells you it will end soon. This happens with any non-endless mission when you stay for too long. I don’t know how long it is, but people have reported it in all non-endless missions as far as I can remember. Hard to do a puzzle if you're not focused on slaying
Ex4ngunat3
Original Poster AGAIN... Same thing just happened to me again. This time I was looking for the final hidden cache. Couldn't get to extraction in time and lost everything. One again I have to say to DE... If I am moving around the map I am Not AFK. Add one line of code to stop the auto fail. Or Give more than 60 seconds to get to extraction. Jupiter maps are BIG. You said you are proud of the work you put into them. But the auto fail says "Don't linger or you will lose everything." AAAARRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!! sam686
That annoying "Mission failure imminent". This have probably started on update 18.5, but happens on many types of missions and happens while extraction is available. Older topic about this: https://forums.warframe.com/topic/1101913-mission-failure-imminent-needs-to-go/ If a timer has to be there, do not hide it away from me until the last minute. How much time do I have left? If a timer has to be there, then I might as well just want a Nightmare's timer modifier where the time limit is always visible, always letting me know how much time is left. I got one trying to figure out one of the halls of ascension puzzles in lua exterminate. I do think it should be removed, since as time goes on, more detail is put into WF tilesets, and more people want to spend more time to explore them. Uhkretor
I... don't understand... ... Warframe has no complicated puzzles... And how much time did you burn for that door to cause the "you are about to fail the mission"?
Grey_Star_Rival_Defender
They added a "feature" of auto-failing Exterminate missions if a player takes too long between killing. Which is pretty ironic considering how much DE tries to add stuff to get players to explore the map with caches, Lua puzzle rooms, Jupiter Labs, hidden loot areas, etc. Even more ironic in solo. 6 hours ago, Uhkretor said: I... don't understand... ... The Jupiter Lab rooms and Lua Puzzles can be difficult for someone new and hasn't memorized them yet.
JHarlequin
It does sound like something else is triggering some of this issue, or that something changed in the patch, because you really can take a long time to do anything you want after you finish the objective. But also, finding and completing the labs really doesn't take any time. Finding the caches on those missions can take some time if you miss them, but again, if you don't find it within a few minutes then give up on the cache and try again next time. For any extra help and support to come to you on this, we probably need to hear just how much time you were spending wandering around because these fail limits don't trigger quickly. The first time it happened I was trying to complete a 4 button parkour puzzle. I don't have them memorized so I had to 1) find all the relevant panels. 2) find the activator switch. 3) complete the button pressing, parkour sequence (all 4 balconies over empty space) in less than the allotted time. The mission failure showed up during #3. I couldn't get to extraction in the 60 seconds DE gives you to get there. As I said above..."Add one line of code to stop the auto fail.
