UDP ports problem

There is this message that appears every time that I either log in on warframe or when I go into options and analyze network. The message is: Please ensure that your firewall permits UDP ports 4950 & 4955. This problem is affecting me for over a week now and every time I go into cetus, fortuna, dojos and so on there is literally no one there besides me. I can't invite my friends and they can't invite me too. I tried to do everything but nothing worked. If anyone knows how to fix this please tell me because i'm having a hard time now with the new content which I can't play with my friends.

well, the warning would be notifying that Warframe had trouble talking to the internet through those Ports, and doesn't think that it will be able to talk through those Ports.so, forwarding those Ports to your PS4 will allow Warframe to talk through your Router, as it apparently cannot do so currently.

UPnP and/or NAT-PMP could be useful here for convenience, though unless you have them checked off in the Options, Warframe will automatically try using them. but if that's no dice then it resorts to directly talking through those Ports.

 

if you are forwarding Ports, note that if there's another system playing Warframe on the same LAN as you that is set to using the same Port pair, that can also cause connectivity problems.
the Options Menu has 5 or 6 Port pairs to choose from, so if that were to be the case, you could change which Port pair you want Warframe to use and that would prevent conflicts with other LAN devices.

Is it a new problem? If so you can check did any of your network got change. Also are you using  WiFi, LAN or both? Make sure the firewall rule are set for both interface. In the old day, Warframe had a know bug. The work around is switch the chat server to a different region, make sure your connection is good, then switch back to US. Are you playing the game at home or at work? Warframe chat require bi-direction support. Some commercial grade firewall require additional configuration.
