Good Quick Melee Weapon

Question

I play the game using almost nothing but my primary and secondary weapons and rarely use my melee weapon. All the melee weapons I have run the same general hybrid build of blood rush/berserker with condition overload and while they're extremely effective I never use them for long enough periods of time in fights to get much of a use out of them. I was wondering if anyone knows some good weapons that don't need you to build up your combo counter to be effective and are good for just quickly switching to melee and killing a few targets and then switching back to a primary.

I use Lesion for Quick Melee, pretty good imo.

Build for 100% SC (w/ 4 elemental/status mods), Condition Overload, and the usual mods (Pressure Point, Fury, Reach).

Condition Overload is a must in this build, it helps to deal an insane ammount of dmg thanks to Lesion passive and the elemental mods. I tested it myself, and it destroy lvl100+ Corrupted Heavy Gunner/Bombards in almost 2/3secs, and u don't need any Riven. Hope I could help 😃

Not exactly. Melee is too dependent on the combo meter. If I'm going with a gun setup I always have Zenistar. It's pretty polarizing really.

Some melee are fine enough for quick attacks. Ones with either high reach, high slide damage or good forced procs in their combos.

Polearms, Staves, Rapier, Dual swords and some others but they're all going to pale in comparison to using full melee. Your best best is to take full advantage of Condition Overload stacking in place of combo meter which means just any good status or hybrid status melee really. Doesn't matter much on the weapon type.

Melees are clearly better when you let the combo counter build and all, but if you wanna go into the gun and sword switch back and forth play, I would recommend using something like Redeemer Prime, Glaive Prime or Falcor, with Condition Overload. You use your primary or secondary, preferably one hand secondary (because you can dual wield the glaives with it) and then stack status procs on enemies with the gun and then one shot them with your Condition Overload melee.

Works great with the new Gaze + Glaive Prime 😄

If you want to have non dependence on combo counter you want a multi status inflicting primary or secondary weapon.

And you want a CO enabled high damage (pure elemental damage mods) melee with enough speed to your liking (maiming strike can also work if you have enough range)

Blast enemies with status as you rush towards them and then hit them with your melee.

The cyanex, zakti, tysis, rattleguts made for status work wonders.

This !!!

Anyway if you want something that will dispatch enemies quickly without being forced to commit to melee.... Redeemer with 100% Status Chance is the way to go.
