What Does Colour Correction Actually Do?

I'm stuck here.

What does it actually do? Is it an old feature that doesn't do anything anymore?

I keep seeing people saying "turn off colour correction; it's the antichrist" but don't understand what it does.

The effect is very subtle and difference can be seen in high contrast scenes with saturated colors. Basically a color filter, cold colors get slightly blue hue, warm get red hue and everything look wrong, but at the same time gives whole screen some artistic touch. Look at your screenshots again, especially on your Wukong's golden bits.

Eventually I will. My license key was on my old hard drive which got destroyed. Just keep forgetting to buy a new one.

Off-topic, but if you use Windows 10 look up how to associate your Windows license to your Microsoft account. Can come in handy in the future.

Color correction enables / disables some lighting effects in addition to subtle color changes. Like green lights on dark sector Corpus Outpost (Venus/Pluto) tiles.
