RpTheHotrod
Before I continue, bear in mind this was years ago before warframe blew up big. They have their hands full now, so don't try this these days XD It's been a few years, now, but I wanted to share a great experience I had with the Warframe team. There was this kid I knew. He was my best friend's younger brother, and ended up liking to hang around when his big brother's friends came over. Super cool kid, and we essentially became like family. When was down on my luck, his family let me live with them for about a year, as well. Anyway, me being a gamer, taught him the ways of the gamer. I ended up buying him his first big gaming rig. Even had his name laser etched into the case. We eventually saw Warframe come out and were intrigued. Warframe ended up being an instant favorite of his. He never really had much of a PC before, so Warframe was one of his grand openings into a new world. Anyway, fast forward to him being about 15/16 or so, and his birthday was coming up. He was still an avid Warframe player. I was ordering the rhino statue when it first came out as a surprise birthday present for him. However, there was a slight issue with the statue, so I had to out in a support ticket. The issue was fixed quickly, but while in the support ticket, I mentioned that it was my lil' buddy's birthday, and if by chance the Lotus could wish him a happy birthday. They actually did! He received an in-game mail message from the Lotus herself that week wishing him a happy birthday and hoping that he gets all the good loot luck. Again, this was years ago, but I thought it was super cool of the support department to make this happen. Getting a personal happy birthday from Space Mom herself was one of the best happy birthday surprises he could have ever dreamed of...so thanks DE support for making a kid's dream come true! He has had quite the gamer journey! Hard to believe he's in his 20's now (and married!), but he'll always have a fond memory of Warframe for life. (PSN)Hikuro-93
I love these small stories. They are only possible and unique because they are "few" and not-so-known. Because the purity in them is precisely that they are so spontaneous and unexpected that they can't be abused so long as they are not widely known and prone to people trying to use them on purpose and for personal benefit. It's the typical "can't give you a hand because you might try to take the whole arm away" situation. I wonder how many more of these secret good actions exist in this game, exclusive small secrets that happened between the community and the developers, and how many more might happen. Truly reminds us that there's actual human beings behind a given company, instead of some gray emotionless, unknown robots. I didn't want it to be a "Hey! Look what they just did!" only for people to them spam them with similar requests.
