Because certain sects are not really about worshiping Satan as much as about worshiping human nature. And yes, I have looked up this topic in my free time at least once. I just decided one day to look up random beliefs that I thought were silly to see how they perceived themselves. If I remember correctly, the list included the KKK / Knights Party, a few types of Satanism, and Scientology. Oh Scientology. You make me laugh. I really can't understand how they take themselves seriously. No offense to any Scientologists, on the off-chance that anyone here happens to be one.
