Less dmg than someone else using the same setup

Both me and my friend are using the exact same mod setup for staticor being max rank convulsion rank 8 hornet strike max lethal torrent max barrel diffusion max pathogen round also gunslinger but thats not really relevant and despite us using the same mods he one shots things with a full charge that will take me 4-6 full charges to kill am i missing something or?

What else are in your both setup ? Maybe he use a warframe with damage buff, have a Kavat that buff critical chance, use arcane or simply do headshot.
A critical headshot deal the standard x2 head multiplier plus another multiplier depending on the crit level (x2 for yellow crit) multiplied by the weapon critical multiplier x2 (-1), which would result to about x13.6 damages on critical headshot, which is enough to oneshot if a regular shot require 6 hits to kill.

So yeah, it's probably simply about headshots, it's the only option I see.

yeah he just a bit ahead he has one level over me on the elemental damage increase and according to him no he was just aiming at the ground not going for headshots

Yeah, lucky crits could be an option. Or crazy headshots. I haven't played so focused recently but sometimes hotboxes just mess up when you're running fast

Who was host?

For a reason only known to DE the host will often (always???) have inflated damage numbers.

What warframes were you both using? What mods on your warframes? 

Any pets or sentinels?

Was he consistently one shotting enemies or once in a while? 

Just to confirm too... are these the same enemies you are comparing? Like both Lancers, not Lancer vs Bombard?

If this has exclusively happened in Index, i think i might know the problem.

Im not sure how long its been around, but theres currently a bug that lets you do pretty much infinite scaling damage in Index.

This happened to me and a friend also using identical Catchmoon builds. I was effortlessly one shooting lvl 400+ enemies, while he could barely take out their shields lol.
