With Empyrean coming Soon(TM), do you think they'll add different railjack types?

Hope my title card here makes sense, but, what I was basically trying to say was..

For example, we have the normal railjack shown off at Last year and Current year's Tennocon. Do you think we'll eventually have different actual railjack ships for other factions as well? An Infested Railjack(Probably from Arlo's 'friendly' strain should the NW go that route), Corpus, Orokin, Sentient, Grineer, etc.

Hopefully it'll also allow for more unique gun-types for those ships as well, mind you, and perhaps different types of gear/activate-ables? Idk.

Yes. This is what we need 

Factions that people can align to. For example you can choose to align with the courpus and get their set of weapons and customisation or choose to join the kuva litch and bully courpus and get kuva rewards from doing bounties. Hopeful DE takes note of this topic and imports this into the empyrean update.

Possibly. Depends largely on if they can retrofit the Crew Ships that the other factions have as enemies into something with all the features we'd need, I reckon.

I'd say it's more likely that there are multiple classes of Tenno-made Railjack though - partly because it may be easier to make. But I don't know about that.

I'm guessing the modularity of the railjacks would be function rather than cosmetic. However, I don't see any reason why they would not have a variety of designs (at launch or soonTM after). They already have the grineer warships which in theory, can be used.


Just look at the liset. It basically did not have any functions, but they decided to give players options that barely made any difference (non that a lot of players use), aside from cosmetic ones.

 

I'm sure that it is their plan to make more than just one design. Maybe even let tennogen skins or what not.

Not at first. That's part of why they're making it modular. You can equip different systems and independently boost different parts of the ship to play the way you like.

I think they're focused on getting the Empyrean systems up and running first, and then MAYBE in the future we can get different ship models.

I'm expecting something like "here's a base clunker to work with, customize to your liking" personally with progress and growth being achieved not by just cramming old resources into research but rather new resources found in Railjack missions, and as you customize it and it gets stronger and more durable you can get more and so on.

Cause the Zaws and Kitguns are one of the least modular, modular systems I've ever seen.

i just want to know how many missiles salvos i can strap to a ship and big over the top cannons and if we will have configuration load-outs not the little stuff you can change on the fly but like weapon set ups  

i like ships in 2 flavors overwhelming firepower or one shot so damn powerful it can sink a galleon in a 1-2 shots then armor it up to high heaven and im happy could care less for speed i want it to be a slow force of nature 

ill worry how it looks later the Ebon hawk is going to make a come back at-least in my little warframe world i could not be more excited

Modular as in, you equip a loadout of different types of systems to the ship, and you toggle those on/off depending on your specific needs for the mission, or even mid-mission for that specific stage of the fight.

Also looks like you can specifically boost things like engines or shields or cannons. As well as equip different kinds of cannons, missiles, countermeasures, etc.

Steve called it "a meta warframe"

Even with the abilities being modular and having an AI crew, soloing or even duo'ing seems like it is going to be tedious. The Railjack is just so... big. I'd love to see a smaller "Railjack", with only one deck and access to all the same abilities/upgrades as the big Railjack, but less turrets and maybe a slightly reduced max energy capacity.

Well, the alternative solution is, I guess... we finally have real incentive to join a clan.

Or, in my case, maybe I'll actually start building my clan? I have just me and the wife in mine, and I've been WAY too stubborn to give up and join an established one because of all the time and resources I sunk into building the dojo. (I'm not creative, so the wife is in charge of decorating)

If it's popular they'll likely further it. If it dies out like PoE don't expect more than the occasional update.

Simple. Name the clan something like "The Nano Spore Mafia".

Then, name your wife's and your ranks respectively as "Donna" and "DOH". Or something along those lines. (Must be along those lines)

Everyone else is, from lowest to highest:

Minion > Flunky > Crony > Lackey > Pawn
