So, what's wrong with spawns in Vallis Alerts?

Is it just me or is something wrong there?

The past two days, trying to farm Toroids the fight ramps up a bit, alert pillars are set, alert goes to level 4, some beam-ins. Then suddenly no more spawns.
Spaceport, Temple and Labs, no matter where you try it, inside no Corpus, outside no Corpus, no alert pillars, but still level 4.

And for the most part with beam-ins "working" there's barely enough to do for 2 people in a 4 frame squad.

Is it possible Nef Anyo lost all credits in the Index and the Corpus can't afford reinforements anymore? Is this the downfall of the Corpus empire?

Noticed today during Solo Toroid Farm, which was a real pain.

If Beacons do go down, you need about 3 - 4 of them to get a decent spawn rate so avoid destroying them. Also, the beam down tends to happen not inside the base, but close to the door/just outside, so yeah. These are all anecdotal evidence I experienced in two sessions, so don't take it as gospel.

but when we destroyed all the beacons and let the alert level drop back down to 0, things started spawning again.

Thought so too.
However I had alert on lvl4, but only 1 pillar around. Destroying it left the alert at lvl4 without any mobs or pillars to be seen. 😕

Sometimes it helps to relocate to the next farmspot, sometimes not.
Also farming inside or outside makes no difference.

I thinks there's something wrong with the server and/or its code?

Well, I tried that again yesterday farming Sola Toroids. Same thing.
Alert level 4. No spawns. Destroyed 5 pylons, alert stayed at level 4.
Left Temple of Profit, outside suddenly tons of spawn-ins, alert went back to level 4 with 4 pylons and after a few waves spawns stopped completely again.

Not a single spawn anymore in or around Temple of Profit. Something has to be wrong there. I opened a new thread in bug reports:

Glad I don't need Toroids for standing anymore because I doubt this issue is ever going to be fixed. ...

I only need them to build the Prisms and Baruuk/Garuda for MR... all of which can wait until DE get their S#&$ together....

Noticed this on the grind for cyan pigment. I know spawns are garbage when solo, but it's sad when I can get to alert 4 in no longer than a minute, but I drop straight to 0 just as fast. I'm not even destroying the beacons, it just drops when enemy spawns stop.

I almost prefer the Dargyn pilot pigment than the cyan now and I didn't think any pigment would be a worse farm.

To put this in perspective:

Ranking from neutral to Shadow in Vox Solaris requires 372 Toroids in Standing + 12 Sola + 12 Calda + 12 Vega + 5 Crisma.
So a total of 408 world drop Toroids plus the 5 from Profit Taker.

Given that with the current situation you can manage to get about 3-5 Toroids in 20 minutes, it'll take you between 27 and 45 hours of pure farming to gain the maximum rank.

Afterwards you still got to buy the offerings and need more Toroids to craft that stuff.
Only reaching the daily cap requires hours! of farming.

Might be better to just craft amps and trade those in for standing... *smh*
Or for that matter farm Exploiter Orb and trade the Toroids for 12k standing. Can save you up to 80 minutes of farming.

Was having the same prob solo farming cyan pigment.

My workaround is to only take out the mechanicals like osprey, moa etc and leave at least several corpus humans intact and attacking me at all times so they can keep raising new alert pillars. Then I'm just dodging and weaving up close to keep them engaged while farming from the excess that joins in.

So far I'm averaging 15 toroids per 30 mins with boosters which aint too shabby, but not a single cyan pigment yet from a mountain of dead terra raptors, so I guess if it's not one thing it's another....

I got some good news for Sola Toroids. After trying with a few squads turns out, at least for Temple you got to stay away, but near Temple.

To-PToroids.jpg

In the red area spawns stop and alerts are mucked up.
In the green area I get around 1 Toroid every 3-5 minutes. Spawns seem to teleport in rather normally. So with a bit of luck and a booster you can get 20 toroids in 30 mins.

Disadvantage: Profit Taker Orb walks by, but you can hide in the vault

Haven't tested the hypothesis for the other locations, but up next for me is some Calda and Vega farming, so I'll report back 🙂

When I went toroid farming, I was wondering the same thing.
