Cannot switch back to weapon if only a single weapon is equipped

Hi,

This reproduces constantly - if I'm in a mission with a single (primary) weapon and no other weapons, and I then select synthesis scanner from the gear menu, I'm unable to equip my weapon back and am stuck with the synthesis scanner for the entire mission.

Before I was able to avoid this by going into operator mode and then go back, but this too no longer works.

You can open the gear wheel and select the scanner again

This does nothing when already holding the scanner. Been there, tried that many, many, many times.
