A new Warframe idea that I've had for ages

First things first. This is my first time posting something like this, so forgive my noobness. This is more a vague idea to open doors rather than limiting on how far this goes, I will however mention a few things I'd prefer to be kept in mind.

Now then, the idea:

A female DPS BLACK MAGIC Warframe.

Personally I prefer black magic and females to go along better, but that's just me.

Imagine an actual dark frame with abilities that come from the underworld, using curses and blood. Conjuring shadows that suffocate enemies, summoning familiars that hunt down prey, a passive that instills fear in anyone nearby. A frame from hell, a frame from evil... The bad frame gone good. I'm not talking harrow dark or tortured valkyr. This is a truly bad frame coming from the dark places in the universe who found the good and uses bad things to do good

I know this doesn't explain alot of what I'm trying to describe, but that's the point. Think of your nightmare working beside you, basically.

I just want to suggest a new type of frame, y'know... We've got lightning and radiation, spores and clones, invisibility and literal music.

But I want to see what DE comes up with when the table is flipped by dark magic and everyone starts running

Yeah a Necromancer/Witch type frame would be nice, Nekros is probably the closest there is but he's not that interesting to play outside loot farms, maybe a rework could fix that but idk

Yes, I understand as much. My point here isn't that I want to personally be responsible for the new frame or anything. I just want to see who agrees with me and how many others thinks DE should try something like this. If I do however get enough reach and everything, that'll be great and all, but I'm not anywhere near artsy enough to give concepts or abilities. I just want something different, out of the box y'know?

So you posted in a wrong place then. If you just wanna talk about whatever, general discussion or fanzone are the places.

This is Fan Concept sub forum. You do not have a concept. You have 3 words in all caps.

I assumed you were going to actually work on a real concept, however seeing as you're not interested, this thread's title is blatant clickbait.

How do you have an idea for ages and only end up writing something so vague?

Yes, I don't have any examples of abilities or physical visuals of the frame itself, I did say in reply to one of yours that I'm nowhere near artsy enough to do those. I have ideas and everything, but I'm not a Picasso and I usually confuse people when I explain things. This is as I mentioned an idea, in which case someone can use whatever I said and make their own version of my idea. I also said this is my first time posting something like this so I apologise if it's in the wrong place.

If you have ideas, post them. Otherwise this is a waste of time.

Nobody says you need to be picasso. You need to post anything at all however, that's for sure. Not necessarily art, but abilities, description of visuals can be done if you can't draw, like, you have options.

Again, you posted 3 words. Black magic dps. That's not an idea. That's a beginning of an idea. And if you think that "black magic dps" is an original "never-before done" concept, you need to use the search function. Tons of people proposed dark/evil/blackmagic warframes already. You've brought nothing new, because the theme you propose was already propsed by others, now if you put some abilities on display, then it would be a valuable addition.

I get what you're saying, and I did say it's my first time posting something like this, I also did say it's an idea

And since you're so into word definitions, an idea is a thought or suggestion as to a possible course of action. Which means anyone can use what I said as a background and go on from there. I don't care whether this type of black magic, evil etc. has been mentioned before, we still don't have a frame like that and the closest to that is nekros which still doesn't fully fit the description. And I didn't say I had an original idea, just that I had an idea that could potentially open doors.

Again, you posted 3 words. Black magic dps. That's not an idea. That's a beginning of an idea. And if you think that "black magic dps" is an original "never-before done" concept, you need to use the search function. Tons of people proposed dark/evil/blackmagic warframes already. You've brought nothing new, because the theme you propose was already propsed by others, now if you put some abilities on display, then it would be a valuable addition.

I thought I made it clear already. I wanted to see your idea developed more, so I urged you to continue work, instead of abandoning it after just starting out.

But you do make obvious you are not interested in making anything else here, which is a shame. I'm sure you could create something interesting if you worked on it.

For the future reference though (no hostilities intended) if you wish to stimulate discussion as opposed to making a single-author-made concept, I'm pretty sure you'll find more people interested in that in fan zone. As you said, you wanted more of a brainstorm situation, and that rarely happens here in fan concepts.

Okay, I see where you're coming from, I would like to work on it more, but for the time being I am a little limited with free time in my day, so I thought I could leave it here for someone to find.

Description of Existence:
Part of an ancient cult, swayed by the tides of war and immersed with darkness. Shadow magician of
a forgotten era, using forbidden arts and tactics to achieve the upper hand by all means necessary.
Even if it means sacrifices or blood magic.
This ancient Warframe has seen unimaginable battles throughout history, assisting whoever she
deems worthy of her arts. One of the first few to use Kuva to its full potential, she vowed never to
have her arts used by any living soul, now and the future. Thus she decided to rid the universe of any
and all who ever came into contact with her arts, destroying her legacy as The Cursed Witch. Hidden
in the cosmos, her cloaked ship and resting body floating in the void.
Kuva usage over the centuries has started to awaken this nightmare…

Abilities:
Passive:
Depletion of shields instils fear into nearby enemies, causing them to retaliate.

1: Ignitulcus (boiling)
Boiling the blood of an enemy causing them to bleed over a short period. (Adds fire and slash
proc)(single target)

2: Phunt (phantom)
Dashing to an enemy’s shadow and impaling them onto a black shadowy spike to create a protective
bubble using the life of the impaled enemy. (enemy health drains as bubble is damaged with a % of
reduced damage)(single target)

3: Asphyxianti (suffocation)
Summons forbidden black Kuva to suffocate enemies around her. (gas and blind procs for a
duration)(affects a set amount of enemies, number affected by power strength)

4: Sacrifici (sacrificing)
She sacrifices 50% of her health to envelop the area in a bloody mist that penetrates and kills
enemies from the inside. (puncture and viral procs)(area of affect, duration based)

Visuals of Frame:
The body type of Valkyr. A cloak-like coat, such as the back of Frost and the Feyarch Oberon skin, Black base color and ancient
rags covering the frame with a lighter more bleached out black to give an aged feeling. Hooded
similarly to Nekros and Ivara. Runes/engravings that looks like branding on her arms, legs and across
her back (the back includes other forms like circles and triangles) (comes into play with abilities)
Ability energy is orange/red. Casting abilities have symbols and circles around and in front of hands
depending on abilities used. For instance Ignitulcus can cause a smoking effect emanating from the
enemy while runes/symbols appear around her arms. Casting Phunt makes engravings on the arms
that look like burnt wounds while the bubble is active, when the bubble expires the engravings are
extinguished and only leave the engraved runes behind. Casting her third ability causes fumes (black
kuva clouds) to come out of her runes from the arms, legs and back seeking out the enemies. Casting
her Sacrifici makes a similar fume effect of her 3, but with the magic runes and added
circles/triangles in front of her hands for the duration of the ability.
This frame is not a wraith, not a wispmother (skyrim) and not an old ugly hag type of witch.

Notes:
I have no name for this frame, obviously.
This is just an idea. You can work from this however you want and use this as you please, I don’t care
if you use my name or not.

I don’t care if any credit comes my way if this is uses as a backbone of someone’s creation, all I want
is for something like this (or similar in any way) to become something the…”alternative” players like
myself would enjoy.

I’m by no means saying that DE isn’t creative.
I’m not trying to label anyone by using the term “alternative”, by this I only mean to point out
people like myself, who are into more gory, bloody, horrific or otherwise uncommon tastes.

If you’re a 3D modelling professional or able to create decent-looking frames and would rather like
to contact me and work on this, feel free to do so.

I didn’t include damage values, range, duration, health, armor, energy etc. values as I’m unsure how it
would be calculated and made to fit the Warframe universe.

Lastly, I’m aware I’m not the first to bring up a similar theme to the table, it might not even be that
unique or interesting to most people, but it’s my idea and you don’t have to like it.
If for some reason DE actually decides to add something like this to the game I’d be really, really
thankful. I know the chances are pretty damn low of this happening, but it is what it is. Use this
however you want.
